Situated in a typical Portuguese village set in an area of outstanding beauty and heritage, it enjoys the best of surroundings; coastal features, historic towns and architecture amongst very friendly people. 10 minutes walking distance to Obidos Lagoon. It has views over the lovely village with panoramic vistas to distant countryside and the lagoon.

Changeover on Saturdays as a general rule.
Access from 4pm, leaving by 10am.

| Utility Room: | Large laundry room with washing machine, sink, drying facilities, iron and ironing board. |
| Living Rooms: | Elegantly furnished huge sitting/dining room with open fireplace, hi-fi and satellite TV system with DVD player (small selection of discs). Two large sofas, easy chairs, large dining table and 8 dining chairs. Sideboard with games etc. |

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Bedding, bath and hand towels and kitchen towels are provided but not beach towels. Our management company, based in the village, clean the villa and change all linen and towels weekly and are on call for emergencies. |

Steps to front door, so unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair access.
Outside
Paved garden with raised flower beds. Built in covered barbecue with washbasin. Private swimming pool (6m x 3m, max depth 1.7m) with stepped entry (heatable on prior request). Paved terrace with patio table and 8 chairs. 6 sun loungers with cushions and 2 folding loungers. 2 garden umbrellas.
Coast/Beach
10 minutes walking distance to Obidos Lagoon (safe for little ones) and Atlantic surfing beaches. There is a windsurfing school on the Lagoon and beach activities in June, July and August.
Golf
Praia d'el Rey Golf Course (reputedly rated best in Portugal) is 20 minutes drive away.
Travel
Lisbon Airport is 100 kilometers away, easily accessible by the excellent A8 Toll road (cost approx. 4 euros). Easyjet fly from Luton, British Airways and TAP from Heathrow, Monarch from Gatwick and bmibaby from Birmingham.
Distances
Villa 'Scotts' is on the edge of the village with bank and cash machine, small shops, butchers, bakery, chemist, hairdressers, bars and restaurants.
There is a local bus to Caldas da Rainha, the nearest large town, 8 km away. It has supermarkets, hospitals (including the original thermal hospital) and a daily street market. Historic renowned pottery and museums.
Further details
The Silver Coast area contains many beautiful villages, beaches and ancient places of interest. The traffic free medieval town of Obidos is a 20 minutes drive.
The historic abbeys of Batalha and Alcobaca should be on your itinerary and Fatima itself is only a modest drive away. Foz do Arelho is not a bustling resort. It is for the discerning visitor, but there is a horse-riding stable for equestrian enthusiasts and the excellent 'Green Hill' disco on the outskirts.
