Cabanas is a picturesque village. Our Casa do Ambiente is only 300 metres away from the unique Natural Park Ria Formosa. On the waterfront side there are numerous cafés, bars and good and typical restaurants for reasonable prices which offer a variety of daily fresh fish etc. Enjoy the time at night, to drink a glass of wine, Vinho Verde - and relax with your family and friends. You will never forget the unbelievable and unspoilt nature with its long and white sandy beaches, the blue sky and the blue ocean. There are small villages near by that you can visit for sightseeing. Cabanas is ideal for couples, families, seniors, nature lovers and of course for golfers. Within a 3 minute drive you will find the Benamor golf course and the Quinta da Ria/Cima golf courses.

Changeover day
Changeover flexible. Arrival and departure depends on the booking before and after your stay. Arrival at 14:00 and departure at 10:00 if we will have guests. We will get in contact with you and will arrange the best solution for your stay.

Outside
3 beautiful terraces (95 sq.m.) and roof terrace surrounded with wonderful and typical plants and flowers of the Algarve with nice decoration around, BBQ, outdoor furniture, chairs, tables, umbrella etc. pool and garden.
From the roof terrace you can see the "Ria Formosa" 12km of continuous beach, one of the biggest in Europe. This area has the warmest waters in Portugal, as the bay protects the beaches from the Ocean currents. The Ria Formosa Natural Park can be seen from here in all its splendour.
One side is the ocean, on the other are the creeks, marshes and islets interspersed with channels and small areas of sea.
Inbetween there is a barrier of narrow, sandy islands stretching away almost parallel to the coast: Cabanas, Tavira.
You will enjoy your stay as many guests before.
Coast/Beach
300 metres walking distance to the beach of Cabanas, wonderful white and sandy unspoilt beaches, the warmest water in Portugal!, ideal for families, walking distance to the Nature Reserve of Ria Formosa. You will love and never forget it.
Please, visit Cacela Vela (6km). This old village is built around the medieval waterwheel, but just the view over the Ria from next to the walls of the fort that was built in 1749, makes a visit worthwhile. "Fábrica, Vila Real de Santo Antonio, Tavira."
Golf
Excellent golf course within 3 mins drive from the "Penthouse".
Golf Benamor, located just a few minutes away from the old and historic town of Tavira - Venice of the Algarve. Peaceful surroundings, spectacular views to the mountains and to the sea.
Excellent golf course with 5 mins. drive.
Golf Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima located in the unique Natural Park of Ria Formosa.
"Monte Rei" the most exclusive, within 10 mins drive.
All these golf courses have marvellous landscapes with almond and olive trees, fig, carob and palm trees. Gentle hills right down to the coast.
"Castro Marim Golf" within 20 mins drive.
Travel
Faro airport to Cabanas de Tavira approx. 35 mins. drive (taxis are available from the airport).
A local train station is near of the penthouse apartment and there are also bus transports from Cabanas to Tavira/Faro.
We recommend to hire a car to visit the countryside and the
rest of the unspoilt Eastern Algarve.

Cabanas has numerous restaurants which offer daily fresh fish etc. for very reasonable prices, cafés, bars, vegetable and fish market, butchers, supermarket, bank and money machines, post office etc. Facilities to learn kite surfing and wind surfing.
There are tennis courts and various play areas for children etc.
Booking notes
A 30% non-refundable deposit is requested at the time of booking. The balance is due 2 month before departure.
A returnable deposit of 200 Euros for eventual breakages is requested on the day of your arrival.
