The Vila dos Piscos (Villa of the Goldfinches) is a privately owned luxurious 6 bedroom (all en-suite) seaside, cliff top villa near the small fishing village Praia do Carvoeiro in the Portuguese province Algarve. The ocean side of the house features 3 large terraces directly overlooking the ocean and the rugged Atlantic coast. The surrounding garden stretches out until 50 meters from the sea. Due to an overflow system, the sea view from the large (13x6m) swimming pool is uninterrupted.

Off season changeover days can be flexible. Air-conditioning is included in rental price. Pool heating € 200 per week (€100 pre-heating). Underfloorheating € 200 per week (only winterlets).

Weekly bookings only. During the season (April - October) changeover days Saturday only. Off season flexible.

Accessibility
One separate en-suite bedroom is especially designed for guests with a disability. Wheelchair access into shower with special shower seat. Adapted tabs on sink. Handrails in bathroom and bedroom.
Outside
The villa is surrounded by a romantic and partly rock garden with access to the cliff top nature area ( by a gated locked door) allowing beautiful hikes along the coast. The lower terrace has a large (13x6m) salt filtered swimming pool. Due to an edge overflow system ocean view from the pool is warranted. Although not necessary during the summer season, the pool can be heated off season.
Coast/Beach
Since the villa is a clifftop property, the nearest beach can be reached by a private gate leading to an unknown small beach at about 500m. Carvoeiro offers many other larger and smaller coved beaches.
Golf
The well known Pestana golf resort containing two 18 hole courses (Gramacho and Vale da Pinta) is only 3 km away. Another 20 golf courses can be found within a one hours drive.
Travel
Car rental is essential, since the centre of Carvoeiro is at about 3km. Faro airport is a 45min drive. Lisbon is about 3 hours drive. Sevilla (Spain) also about 3 hours drive.
Distances
Carvoeiro centre is about 3km from the villa. Portimao is 15 min drive. Lagoa is about 10 min drive. Silves 15 min drive.
Further details
All amenities are all within a 10 min drive such as shops, supermarkets, restaurants, banks and medical facilities.
Booking notes
50% of the rental price with booking. The second 50% three months before arrival time. No refunds. A travel/cancellation insurance is advised. Only persons booked by name are permitted to stay in-and on the property and use the facilities.
