Casa São Patrício is a family owned villa with many regular repeat visitors. The building lies on one level. The master bedroom has a double bed and en-suit bathroom. The second room can be either a double or twin bed, it shares a bathroom with the third bedroom, which is colourfully furnished with two children’s beds. The kitchen is fully equipped and situated between the hall and dining room. The living room links the bedrooms to the rest of the house and leads onto the terrace. The terrace is large with stunning views and overlooks both the swimming pool and barbecue area. The villa has a well maintained Mediterranean garden at the back and is surrounded by bougainvillea and trees such as almond, eucalyptus, olive and carob. São Patrício is perhaps the most secluded villa in Carvoeiro, and safe with strong but decorative ironwork protecting every window. The pool is surrounded by a wall to protect young children.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. We ask you to arrive after 1pm and depart before 10am to give Maria sufficient time to clean. There's plenty to fill your day after departure, so don't hesitate to take a later flight, if more convenient - we do.
Accommodation

Maria is our delightful maid. She will clean the villa for a few hours a day, around late morning. This is on most days except Sundays and bank holidays. She's also happy to wash your clothes. |

Accessibility
Access to the villa and the villa itself is on a single continuous floor, so ideal for wheelchairs.
Outside
There is a Mediterranean garden to the rear and sides, and terrace with pool and tree shading to the front.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is about 5 mins walk from the villa, although it may take longer returning up the hill, in the heat of the day carrying a rapidly melting ice cream. Within about 5 mins drive you will fine some of Europe's finest beaches, covered with golden sand, gentle seas and sculptured cliffs. We tend to laze around the pool in the morning and visit a different beach every afternoon, such as Smuggler's Cove (Carvalho) or a surfing beach on the west coast.
Golf
The tee off to 3 golf courses are within 5 mins drive. Within less than 1 hours drive you can explore about 12 golf courses. For example, Penina Championship Course is about 15 mins away.
Skiing
Just water skiing.
Special interest holidays
Apart from glorious golf and beautiful beaches, there is amazing surfing 40 mins away on the wild western coast. For those seeking gentler pursuits, there's the nearby Moorish castle at Silves and walking along the coastal path, hills or in the nature reserve.
Travel

The village with its many restaurants and shops is about 5 minutes walk away.
Further details
A large supermarket is a few mins away by car. The village of Carvoeiro is bustling with restaurants of all types. Portuguese cuisine is especially good with fresh fish and chicken Piri Piri (spicy). In addition to the international golf courses and some of Europe's best beaches, within about 15 mins drive you will find many tennis courts, aqua fun parks, a marine zoo, horse riding, boat trips including one on a pirate ship, and great shopping in malls or traditional Portuguese markets.

Most visitors to São Patrício (SP) are repeat visitors. One family has taken SP for about 6 weeks each year at three different times of the year, April, October and December/January, for the past five years or so.
