Jardins do Golfe is a private complex, adjoining the prestigious 5* resort of Vale do Lobo. This safe and secured gated condominium, set in acres of beautiful gardens, has 2 pools (pool bar in the summer) tennis courts, basketball and mini golf. Located by the 2nd hole of the Royal Championship Golf Course, all the facilities are close by for an amazing holiday experience: The Praca, the central hub of Vale do Lobo, is a short stroll through the beautiful Vale do Lobo estate. Enjoy great nightlife, live music, bars/restaurants by the Atlantic Ocean and the stunning blue flag beach. The golf reception for the Royal and Ocean Golf Courses, beauty salon, spa, supermarket, cafe are all within a 7 min walk. Also close by is Barrington's championship tennis centre and health club, children's Penguin Club, the bank and medical center. Quinta do Lago is a 5 min drive away and the marina of Vilamoura 20 min. Truly 5* facilities at a budget cost. All this only 20 min transfer from Faro.

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible, but, during the summer months (high season) it is likely to be on a Saturday. It would be necessary to vacate the apartment by 10am on the day of departure in the high season to prepare for new arrivals.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 - spacious double or twin room set up with ensuite bathroom and doorway leading to terrace/balcony. Built in robes and fly screened windows with view to gardens.
Bedroom 2 - twin beds, spacious room with built in robes, fly screened windows.
Bathrooms: New bathroom suites for 2008. En-suite bathroom including bath, shower, bidet, toilet, new floors and tiles, marble vanity units, large scale mirrors. Main bathroom has walk in shower area, wc, basin, marble surrounds, large mirror and tiled flooring.
Kitchen: All new fittings and fixtures for 2008. Everything you need away from home! Black granite work surfaces, solid oak cabinets, oven, hob, integrated fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and a washing machine for families with young children.
Utility Room: Iron, ironing board, travel cot, extra bedding, towels. All the usual stuff to make your stay really comfortable. Also 2 sets of quality golf clubs for your use free of charge. Just bring your golf shoes and a few balls and you're off!
Living Rooms: Renovated for 2008. Dining table and chairs to accommodate 6 people. 1 leather double sofa bed, 2 suede bucket chairs. Large 37" flat screen TV, DVD player, films, books, treasure chest of games for all the family.
Other: With views toward the gardens and completely secluded, the 30 square metre balcony/terrace is the perfect place to chill out, read a book, enjoy a meal or invite friends you've met for a few drinks on the outdoor table and chairs!
Cleaning/towels/

Quoted prices included linen and towels and cleaning of the apartment on departure. Extra cleans and arrangement of basic food and drink provisions on arrival available at an additional charge.

 

Notes on accommodation
If you're like us, you probably enjoy pampering yourself and relaxing on holiday. We have given our apartment that personal touch to ensure you have a special holiday. Lots of toys and games for indoors, outdoors and by the pool. A CD player (with ipod dock), DVD player plus a huge variety of books and DVD's to choose from. If you can't be bothered to go out for a meal or cook, you can even order a pizza to be delivered to your balcony whilst you enjoy a bottle of wine and test your wits with a game of cards or trivial pursuit. For the golfer going away with the family (and you've promised not to take your clubs!) there are 2 sets of Ping Zing irons and Taylor Made R7 drivers for your use free of charge in the cupboard. When you see the courses trust me, you'll want to play. We have friends who have apartments in Jardins do Golfes so if there's a group of you who wish to go away together, we can also accommodate this. However we recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment.

Outside
For guests looking for nothing more than lying out in the sun, Jardins do Golfes boasts its own large private pool. Scattered around the sun terrace and gardens are free sun loungers and, for families, a children's pool and waterfall. In June 2007, a new decking area was introduced around the poolside snack bar, open in the peak Summer months. If you prefer something a little more energetic, there are 2 tennis courts, a tennis practice wall, basketball area and mini golf course. There is loads of space for children to play games or to practise chipping a golf ball. The condo is gated and requires a key card to enter. It is a lovely walk to the beach on a private road, suitable for all ages. Alternatively walk via the pathway of the Royal Championship Golf Course. It takes less than 15 mins and trust me, you won't be disappointed. The blue flag awarded, Vale do Lobo beach front, is the best I've seen anywhere in the world. It is genuinely breathtaking. Miles and miles of golden sand.

Coast/Beach
A short 15 minute walk from the apartment is The Praca, the central hub of Vale Do Lobo. Here is the breathtaking Blue Flag beach front, an outdoor swimming pool overlooking the sea and the Penguin’s Children’s Club. The children’s club has superb facilities (charges apply). There is live entertainment each evening around the bars and cafes and the night club of The Praca. It is wonderfully relaxing, keep your eyes open for the odd celebrity, this is home for the rich and famous!!

Golf
We can provides contact details so that you can take advantage of specially negotiated rates. At some courses this will be half of the advertised green fees price. Don’t book straight at the golf course - you will pay the full rate. As golf addicts ourselves, we can recommend courses. The apartment is ideally placed to serve over 15 championship courses within a 20 minute drive. Links, parkland, pine forests, lake land courses we have it all. This is golfers paradise! At the apartment we have compiled our own comprehensive golf guide. Get ahead of the competition by reading all the information and tips from the pros! There are lots of photographs, all the score cards and shot savers for all of the courses. We have played all 15 of the local championship courses and our golf guide will ensure you get to play the ones that suit your budget and handicap. There are 2 sets of clubs for your use at the apartment.

Special interest holidays
The Vale do Lobo Tennis Academy, home of the ATP Champions Tour, is only 1km away. Facilities include 10 hard courts, 4 synthetic grass courts, 1 paddle court, pro shop, swimming pool, fitness gym, sauna, steam and massage room and tennis café overlooking the courts. There are a range of coaching programmes and tournaments to suit your requirements and standard. All information can be provided before your trip including competitions. Details are in the apartment brochure. There are some beautiful walks in and around the area. It is possible to walk along the beach from Faro Airport uninterrupted to the apartment. The walk along the red stone cliffs above the sand dunes are exhilarating and, for those fascinated by wildlife, the Ria Formosa is a bird watchers paradise. These inlets and waterways can be explored by foot or, if you prefer, by boat.

Travel
A taxi to the apartment from Faro Airport costs about 30/35 euros for the 20 mins transfer. Everything is on your door step, so a car is not essential. However, to make the most of everything that the Algarve has to offer, we would recommend getting one. There is car parking provided at Jardins do Golfes.

Distances
There is a reception area at Jardins do Golfes and a really well stocked portfolio in the apartment detailing all the local attractions, most of which offer a pick up service and all within a 30 minute drive: golf (we have put together a thorough golf guide), tennis, horse riding, fishing, yachting/sailing, 4x4 safari tours, aqua park, swim with the dolphins, beach sports- paragliding etc, theme park, markets, cultural visits - churches and organised walks for different ages and staminas!!

Further details
A 3 minute walk from the apartment is the supermarket, health centre, bank and cash point. The supermarket is well stocked and ideal for purchasing freshly baked bread in the morning and restocking the fridge with chilled drinks for the early evening. Within 7 minutes is Parque Do Golfe, the reception for the Royal and Ocean Golf Courses. Here you can buy and read the newspaper whilst having a drink at the cafe or bar overlooking the opening holes and the grandstand of the 18th. If pampering is more your style, there is a beauty centre, hairdresser and health spa. For the culinary connoisseurs, there are 15 first class restaurants located throughout Vale Do Lobo, where you can enjoy international cuisine from Asian to French, Italian to Portuguese seafood specialities. For those in search of excellence, there are 3 Michelin star restaurants in the area, however if you simply can’t be bothered and want to stay in, there are a number of diners and take aways that will deliver to your balcony! Located up the beach from Praca in Vale do Garrao is Julia’s- a famous collection of restaurants and beach bars. Enjoy sporting events with stunning views of the Atlantic. Exclusive Quinta do Lago is less than a 5 minute drive from the apartment. Great golf courses including San Lorenzo, arguably the best in Portugal, designer shops and super restaurants set around the square. For something a bit special, we would recommend Gigis on the coast (you will need to book) and Casa do Lago overlooking two lakes in the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Vilamoura, its fine harbour and array of restaurants and night life, is a short 20 minutes taxi drive away. Set on the marina, the nightlife here is lively, cosmopolitan and varied, with bars, cafes, clubs and restaurants. Most are set around the marina, however, there are some great bars set behind it. If you fancy a live band and a late drink, try the Irish Bar!

Booking notes
Faro town is a 15-20 minute drive where there is a large shopping centre offering good facilities. Most tours offer a pickup/drop off bus service from Vale do Lobo to the attractions. In the apartment is a well stocked folder with all the details of the attractions so you can read at leisure and book your favourites.
