About the owner
I live in Belgium but I go to Portugal, my home country, very often.
I have worked as a translator for many years and my work now deals with language policy issues in Europe.
At least 2 or 3 times a year I spend holidays in the Algarve, in my Vale do Lobo apartment.
It is always a pleasure to show friends the region, on top of catching up on some serious beach life!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
For its very diverse coast where you can actually swim (and not just admire the rougher Atlantic of the - also beautiful - western beaches of Portugal - I have been going to the Algarve since I was a child.
Besides the swimming and all the different beaches that we Portuguese enjoy as a way of life, it has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants, night life, water sports, etc.
More recently, I have also loved discovering what is being done inland as towns started promoting their heritage, organizing ever growing musical, gastronomic and other events every year.
Last but not least, Vale do Lobo is also one of the best preserved and nicely developed areas in the Algarve and attention is paid to keep it green and respectful of the environment.
Unique benefits of the property
The property is just a 15-minute walk from a wonderful beach.
At the beach you can get umbrellas and lounge chairs. There are also restaurants, a press shop and a swimming pool near by.
The property is conveniently located near the beach but is also a short walking distance from the tennis and golf academies.
In the Vale do Lobo area you will be able to enjoy some of the best gastronomy in the country.
