The apartment building is on the main square of Sao Martinho which is famous for its shell shaped bay, which makes it a safe haven for bathing in its calm waters. Also going out of the bay you have excellent areas for surfing fishing and other water sports.

Changeover day

The apartment block is on flat level ground near the beach, and access is suitable for the elderly. The apartment is on the first floor and is serviced with a lift. Garage parking space is located under the building and is accessed by an automatic door and has a lift or stair access direct to the apartment.
Coast/Beach
Sao Martinho Beach is less than 1 min walk. This is a safe sandy beach. It has coves and many cliff walks with views. Foz do Arelho has excellent water sports 10 mins drive. Nazare beautiful sandy beach 12 mins drive.

Torres Vedras (Vimeiro) course 9 holes par 67. Distance 34 mins.
Peniche (Atlantico) course 9 holes 18 different tees par 72. Distance 30 mins.

Travel
Motorway links are very good from both Lisbon and Porto airports. The nearest airport is Lisbon about 1 hours drive. Some of the scheduled flight providers are, Easyjet, BA, Tap, BMI Baby and Monarch. Porto is 2.5 hours drive, some scheduled flight providers are, Ryanair, Tap. Car hire is essential and available at both airports, you are best booking this before you leave.

Nazare fishing and resort about 12 mins.
Obidos (walled city) and golf about 20 mins.
Caldas da Rainha shopping and spa about 13 mins.
Foz do Arelho surfing and other water sports 10 mins.
