Jardins do Golfe is located beside the 5*Resort of Vale Do Lobo beside the 2nd hole of the Royal Course, a short distance from the Main Entrance of Vale do Lobo. The beach and Praca (restaurants and entertainment area) is a very gentle, easy walk through garden pathways and takes about 15 minutes walking with children. The secure Jardins do Golfe complex is set in a hectare of beautiful, well tended gardens with 2 pools and sun terrace. Jardins do Golfe is a popular complex for families and couples alike. Our apartment is spacious and thoughtfully decorated and includes all the little extras that you will need for a perfect holiday so all you have to take your clothes - nothing else! In the high season it is Saturday, during the year arrival and departure dates are flexible.

Living Rooms: Fabulous large sunny combined lounge and dining room with direct access to an enormous balcony. Brand new modular sofa, 37" plasma TV, digital satellite, cinema surround stereo with DVD, CD and MP3 player, Playstation 2 and games, CDs, books and magazines
Other: Enormous balcony with outdoor table and chairs and sunloungers. Sunny aspect with views of gardens and pool area.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
During the high season (July and August the daily maid service is included in the rental price) throughout the year this service is available for a small extra charge. All bed linen, bath and beach towels are included in the rental price.

 

Notes on accommodation
Air conditioning and heating included in the rental price. The apartment is very suitable for small children as it is located on the ground floor with direct access to grassy lawns and trees. The balcony is safe with high walls. We can provide free of charge a cot and highchair.

Accessibility
The apartment is suitable for mobility impaired people. There is only one small step at the entrance. It would only be suitable for wheel chair users if they had assistance up this step, once inside the apartment there is good space to move about. There are steps down and up to the pool area and therefore would not be suitable for wheelchair users without assistance.

Outside
The Jardin do Golfe complex is set in a hectare of beautiful, mature and well tended gardens. The gardens perimeter is fenced and secure. Access is only via a magnetic swipe card. There is a very large pool with large sun terrace and free sunloungers and an additional childrens pool with waterfall. There are also other areas in the gardens where sun loungers are scattered about. There is a poolside snack bar selling light meals and soft/alcoholic drinks during summer. There are also facilities of tennis and mini golf.

Coast/Beach
Vale Do Lobo beach is a easy 15 min walk along the pathways through the resort. It is a sandy, safe, clean, blue flag beach. There are many beaches within walking or short driving distance.

Golf
Golfing weekends can be arranged. There is plenty of storage space for your golf clubs in the apartment - they don't need to share the sofa with you! Please contact the owner to check availability for the short stay/weekend holiday dates you are interested in. Golf Guests can take advantage of the specially negotiated golf rates. The courses with discounted rates are: Vale do Lobo Royal, Vale do Lobo Ocean, Quinta da Lago Norte, Quinta do Lago Sul, Vila Sol, Vilamoura Old Course, Vilamoura Millennium, Vilamoura Pinhal, Vilamoura Laguna, Salgados, Benamor, Qinta Da Ria, Quinta de Cima. Special interest holidays
There are plenty of opportunities to play tennis in Vale Do Lobo there are 2 tennis courts in Jardins and a practice court. In Tennis Valley VdL there are professionals on hand to help you improve any aspect of your game, regular lessons can be arranged (fee payable). There is good bird watching options in the Ria Formosa with covered areas for watchers (or are you twitchers?) This is about 10 minutes drive away. The inlets and lagoons of the Ria Formosa are well worth a day trip on a boat. The sand dunes from Vale do Lobo back towards Faro are fabulous for wildlife spotting. From Vale do Lobo you could (if you felt energetic) actually walk for over 20 miles of beach it is a easy, flat walk along the lagoons and beach and well worth a days exercise.

Travel
It is not necessary to have a car, but, I would recommend car hire in winter to give you the flexibility to explore the Algarve.
I can arrange car hire for you at very competitive rates, please email me for the rate card. I can also arrange a personal meet and greet service from/to the airport the price includes childrens car seats.
If you prefer to hire a public taxi it costs approx 25 euros from the airport to Jardins.

Distances
Faro town is a 15 min drive there is a large shopping centre that offers good facilties. Most tours offer a pickup/drop off bus service from VdL to the attractions. Options include horse riding, fishing, yachting/sailing, shark, dolphin watching, 4x4 safari tours and Cultural visits. There is also an Aqua Park and a Swim with Dolphin experience (30 mins drive). In the apartment is a well stocked folder with all the details of the attractions so you can read at leisure and book you choices

Further details
It is a 2 min walk to the very well stocked local supermarket / off licence and cash point and Medical Centre, It is a 10 minute walk to Barringtons Health Club and Tennis Academy. The Praca which is the nightlife/beach front area of Vale do Lobo is less than a 15 minute walk - the Penguin Childrens Club is here and Vale do Lobo Beach. At the Praca there are numerous restaurants, bars, cafe, newsagent, real estate agent and a night club. Free live entertainment nightly during summer.

Parque Do Golfe which is the Reception for the Royal and Ocean golf courses is a 5 min stroll from the apartment there are also many shops including beauty centre, a most wonderful health spa (can vouch from experience), hairdresser, cash point, Hertz, post office and newsagent selling daily English newspapers and magazines also a cafe and a bar. The bus stop to over 25 destinations along the Algarve (and to and from the airport) also departs from outside the Medical Centre.

About 3/4 mile down the main road into Vale Do Lobo are another good selection of restaurants including the Sao Gabriel - a Michelin star restaurant and the Thai Garden restaurant also highly recommended. The Quinta da Lago Shopping Centre is about 2 mile down the road, here there are many exclusive designers shops and some lovely restaurants/cafes. There is also a Italian restaurant that delivers pizza and pasta (and a bottle of wine) to the apartment... the menu is in the folder...for those nights that you just can't be bothered to cook.

During your stay if you have any problems or require assistance I have a 'right hand man' who speaks perfect English, he can help you with anything you need - even changing a light bulb or medical assistance if required. This ensures everything about your holiday will go smoothly.

Booking notes
A securing deposit must be paid on time of booking this is 50% of the total booking cost. The balance is to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. A security deposit of £200 is payable before arrival. The security deposit will be refunded in full within 14 days after departure if the property has been left in an appropriate condition.
