The villa is on the edge of the quiet, unspoilt village of Sao Sebastiao close to Penela, a small but quaint traditional Portuguese market town and only 30 kilometres from the University city of Coimbra, once the capital of Portugal. Flying to Porto from Stansted or Liverpool the Villa is only 1.5 hours drive via the A1 motorway. The area has wonderfully relaxing walks through the Vale Brigao with its beautiful wild flowers and bird life. The Villa has a private pool and elevated Veranda for sunbathing with a Corberta for Al Fresco dining. The Villa can sleep up to 8 persons with a double and a twin room on the lower floor and a double and a twin room on the upper floor.

Notes on accommodation
The Villa has a wood burning stove and double glazing throughout.
The upper floor rooms are suitable for older children and feature Velux roof windows.
Accessibility
The villa is not specially constructed for wheelchair users but assisted access to the lower floor is possible via the pedestrian gate.
Outside
The private pool is 7 x 3.76 metres, 1.20 metre shallow/1.70 metre deep. The pool is cleaned weekly. Children using the pool may require supervision. The pool has grass surrounds for sunbathing.
A barbecue complete with fuel and cooking utensils. Parking 2/3 cars, secure garage.
Coast/Beach
Figueira da Foz, 53 minute drive, has over 2 miles of wide sandy beaches, and water sports facilities.
Aveiro, 1 hr drive, famous for its lagoon is criss-crossed by canals where colourfully painted moliceiro boats sail.
Praia de Mira, 1 hr drive nestles between the sand dunes and the Atlantic, on one side, and the tranquil lagoon of Barrinha -good for boating, swimming and water sports.
Nazere, 1.5 hr drive has a stunning beach, typical fishermen houses and steep cliffs over a bright blue sea

Further details
Coimbra: Old university town which has a tragic love story to tell. Once the capital of Portugal and the birthplace of six kings it has all the old traditions of Portuguese life and architecture and shopping.
Conimbriga: Roman village; Iberia's best preserved Roman mosaics. The site also has a museum that displays objects found by archaeologists during their excavations, including coins and cirurgical tools.
Buçaco: Manueline exuberance in a garden of Eden; the site of Napoleon's defeat. A mountain forest located just northeast of Coimbra on the way to Viseu. Buçaco is a delightful refuge of cypress groves, ferns, statues, fountains, and formal gardens.
Aveiro: Colorful boats down attractive canals; a princess-saint; fine porcelain; a lovely fairytale castle.
Obidos: Once the wedding present of a queen, the preserved medieval town of Óbidos lying 100 km north of Lisbon is without doubt one of Portugal's most classic walled settlements.
