Situated in a quiet rural village the house is secluded but not isolated. It has a private pool and is surrounded by Mediterranean gardens with fruit and nut trees, palms, vines and flower beds. Furnished outdoor patio areas including a covered terrace, upstairs terrace with beautiful rural views and a barbecue. A change from the contemporary hotel look it is comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated with all modern comforts. Perfect for living the alfresco lifestyle and exploring the real Portugal. With easy access to busier cities, resorts and attractions it is close to Lisbon airport, the fishing town of Peniche, the seaside at Lourinha, the historic town of Obidos, lagoons, golf courses and many beautiful beaches. 45-60 mins by car are Fatima, Cascais & Estoril. The village has 2 shops and café. Enjoy walking, cycling, horse-riding, surfing, golf & water sports. Attractions include beautiful beaches, museums, monuments, wine routes, karting, handicraft markets and shops.

Notes on prices
Prices are based on 2 people in UK Pounds. An additional £100 supplement per person per week for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th person is charged. It is not permitted to allow extra persons to either visit or stay overnight in the Quinta that have not been on the original holiday booking party list.

Changeover day
Changeover day is preferably on Saturday although flexibility is usually possible. Please contact owners with requests. Arrival time is from 5pm and departures by 10am.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed. Window and French windows overlooking front terrace and garden. Bedroom 2 with double bed. 1 window overlooking fruit trees in rear garden. Bedroom 3, 1 double bed and lounge area. 1 window overlooking the pool and rear garden.
Bathrooms: 1 large bathroom. Separate large walk-in shower, slipper bath with additional overhead shower, bidet, basin and toilet. Very light with window and skylight. Mosquito screen.
Kitchen: Large country kitchen with marble sink/drainer & marble top table. Complete with Agar cooker, large gas cooker with electric grill, indoor BBQ & bread oven. Dishwasher, microwave, fridge and many kitchen appliances. Walk-in pantry with freezer.
Living Rooms: Separate lounge area with TV, DVD, digital UK satellite TV. Tastefully decorated with door to rear garden. Wood burner stove. Window with mosquito screen. Separate dining room with dining table and chairs. Benefits from large skylight window.
Other: Spiral staircase leading to 3rd bedroom & additional living area. Complete with music system and 3 piece suite. Access to lovely upstairs outside terrace via this room.

Towels and bed linen are provided and changed once per week. The house is cleaned ready for your arrival. Hire of beach towels available.

Notes on accommodation
The house has beautiful sunny gardens & terraces, set in a quiet rural location. Enjoy a dip in the pool, relax & enjoy a BBQ meal alfresco. The front terrace is the perfect place to end the day, unwind & enjoy the tranquillity with a glass of local wine, cheeses, meats & olives. You will be spoilt for choice in what to do & where to go. The kitchen features a working bread oven for the more adventurous cook who may wish to make bread or pizza. The Agar cooker also provides extra heat during the winter with the wood burner. We the owners live locally and are happy to be ‘on call’ if required for an unexpected emergency such as a visit to the doctors or dentists when the language barrier can cause a problem. We speak both English & Portuguese & are also happy to give guidance and information if requested. Tourist information leaflets, maps and books are available for loan in the house. There are also numerous magazines and books to borrow. No pets accepted and no smoking please.

Accessibility
The drive is flat and covered with gravel. The outside terraces are almost flat but do have small steps leading from one level to the next. With the exception of the further living area upstairs all rooms are on one level. There are small steps to and from the kitchen, bathroom and downstairs lounge area. The upstairs living area & bedroom is only accessible via a spiral staircase.

Outside
The front garden has a large drive & parking space for several cars. There are flower beds a rockery, trees & palms. A covered terrace runs the whole length of the front of the house furnished with a cane sofa and table with further chairs and a small table. The whole house is surrounded by terracotta paving & Mediterranean gardens with potted plants for interest. A large patio leads from the side of the house to the swimming pool & outdoor shower. There is a large arbour with vines growing on it for shade. The patio is furnished with sun loungers and a wooden 3 piece suite with cushions. The patio joins the pool area where there is a further wooden table and chairs. The private swimming pool measures 10m x 5m with internal steps at one end. The pool is surrounded by flower beds with palms, yuccas & cacti which lead to the remaining garden covered with fruit& nut trees. There is a Portuguese BBQ in the back garden. The gardens are surrounded by rural land and are peaceful & private.

Coast/Beach
The house is 10kms from the coast and many beaches. The local beach Areia Branca is 9km away. There are many beaches along the coast, many which of which are quiet and secluded. Larger, busier beach resorts include Peniche, a fishing town which is 20km away and Baleal, popular with surfers and families which is 18km away. A drive along the coastal route is the best way to discover the many beaches. Slightly further away is Santa Cruz, 22km away, Ericeira, 45km and Cascais 80km.

Golf
There are several excellent golf courses within easy travelling distance of Moledo: Praia del Rey – 18 holes – Par 72. The winner of the Golf Resort of the Year Europe 2007. Located close to the medieval town of Obidos, Praia del Rey has splendid sea views, spectacular cliffs, and sand dunes as well as beautiful pine trees. 22kms from the house.
Botado – 9 holes – Par 36. Located near the Consolação beach in Peniche, this course runs parallel to the beach. 13kms from the house. Golden Eagle – 18 holes – Par 72. A course designed by Rocky Roquemore set on a property near Rio Maior, it occupies almost the double of an ordinary course. 36kms from the house. Vimeiro – 9 holes – Par 34. Vimeiro is situated in a beautiful landscape of farming land and is famous for the healing properties of its waters. 19kms from the house. Campo Real – 18 holes – Par 72. The course is surrounded entirely by well-appointed buggy paths. 27kms from the house.

Travel
The nearest airport is the Portela Airport in Lisbon which is 70kms away and is an easy car journey. It is essential to hire a car when taking a holiday in this area. A hire car can be collected from the airport but will need to be booked in advance.

Further details
There are 2 small shops in the village which sell all essentials. The village has a café and a post box. A church is at the centre of the village. All these facilities are within a few minutes walking distance. Lourinha has 4 supermarkets, a municipal market, cafes, restaurants, gym, theatre, chemists and a health centre. The nearest cash machine is in the next village and the nearest bank is in Lourinha. 15 minutes walk away is a restaurant, café/snack bar and petrol station. There are numerous good restaurants in the area; Peniche is particularly good for fish meals.
Local activities include walking, cycling, horse-riding, swimming, surfing, golf and water sports. Local attractions include miles of beautiful beaches, museums, monuments, handicraft/pottery markets and shops. Village festas which take place mainly in the summer, with their religious processions, dancing, traditional dress, eating, drinking and fireworks late into the night. Festivals, markets and excellent restaurants serving locally produced wines. Slightly further away, but easily accessible by car are numerous famous Portuguese towns such as Nazare, Tomar, Alcobaca, Batalha, Caldas da Rainha, Fatima, Torres Vedras and many more. Other places not to miss are the capital of Portugal, Lisbon and Estoril with the largest casino in Europe which has shows, music and concerts. Cascais with its marina and lively night life and the beautiful historic town of Sintra. The walled town of Obidos is an absolute must for all visitors to Portugal. With its narrow cobbled streets and high walled gardens this town has been destroyed and rebuilt throughout history. This beautiful town has many churches, craft shops and views over the surrounding areas, viaduct, monastery and sanctuary. The Lagoa de Obidos are close by. The beautiful lagoon is the largest in Europe where you can enjoy a BBQ in the pine woods overlooking the lagoon where there is an abundance of wildlife and water sports are available.

Booking notes
Book by email or telephone. A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total cost of the holiday is required to book. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to the commencement of holiday. The deposit & balance is made by bank transfer direct to owners. For payments in euros please contact owners. A £200 refundable deposit for breakages is required with the final payment. This will be refunded 1 week after departure when an inspection of the property is complete assuming no damage/breakages are found.
