Its mature secluded gardens, with beautiful old and well established trees, offer the much needed relaxing atmosphere for a restful break. The Quinta is only half an hour drive from the Sintra town centre and the astonishingly beautiful surrounding hills just outside the Portuguese capital, Lisbon. 25 kilometres from the Lisbon coast, ideal for keen surfers and other water sports fans. The property is equally ideally located for golfers, as the area offers a choice of golf courses, and ramblers to enjoy the Sintra Hills, once before known as the European’s Aristocratic and Royal Families’ playground.

We are sorry, but this property is not ideal for people with mobility problems. There too many stairs.

Coast/Beach
A vast selection of beaches can be found within a 1/2 hour drive, including Ericeira, Praia Grande, Praia das Maças, Praia da Adraga, Azenhas do Mar, Guincho, Cascais, Estoril and Carcavelos. Some beaches can also be accessed either by bus or by taking the train to Sintra and then the tram to the coast.
Golf
Belas Clube de Campo (5km) the latest course opened on the Lisbon's Coast, designed by Rocky Roquemore. Its eighteen holes extend over 6,128 meters for a Par 72. Beloura Pestana Golf Resort (10km) with fine views over the Sintra mountain range and a course surrounded by trees on flat terrain. Penha Longa Golf Resort (10Km) enjoys championship characteristics, an excellent level of maintenance and beautiful panoramic views over the Sintra mountain range. Penha Longa has now a new nine hole course - called Mostelro - offering a new alternative to the existing course. Estoril Sol (17km) is a beautiful nine hole course offering golfers a challenge that is both pleasurable and varied, including one of country's best practice areas. Estoril one of the oldest and best-known golf courses in Portugal. Quinta da Marinha and Oitavos (25km) is the 1st Golf Course in Europe and the 2nd in the World to as a Certified Signature Sanctuar-Gold. Belavista (17km) Lisbon is located close to the airport.
Travel
Lisbon is 17km, Sintra is 10km, Queluz is 7km away and all can be reached either by car or by train from the local railway station. There are also buses.
Distances
Cascais and Estoril are a 30 minute drive away. The Quinta is located in Merçês which is a rural village with all facilities around (cafes and restaurants, markets) and is close to other villages and small towns with many facilities.

Un gardien est présent et assure l'entretien.Les commerces ne sont pas loin mais une voiture est indispensable pour visiter les sites touristiques.
