The quinta is a family run guesthouse, situated within a beautiful valley, listed in the Michelin guide and recommended by Alastair Sawday's 'Special places to stay'. The 5 hectares of beautifully landscaped grounds maintain many original features from the original farm. The cottages themselves are set in tranquil gardens with many varieties of fruit trees and shrubs, all overlooking the swimming pool. There is a bar/bistro by the pool where breakfast is served and meals prepared upon request, with fresh local ingredients. There is a swimming pool, tennis court, games room, sauna and an elegant function room, used for weddings and parties. There is wireless internet access available. The quinta is well situated, 20 minutes from Faro airport, close to the motorway, with easy access to the entire Algarve and even Spain. There are many local attractions and excellent restaurants. Many beautiful beaches nearby and several golf courses.

The 6 cottages each consist of a twin bedroom with air-conditioning/heating, a shower room with bidet, heated towel rail and hairdryer. The lounge contains two beds, with full sprung mattresses, which double up as sofas. There is also a TV, fireplace, table and chairs in the lounge. Each cottage has its own fridge and kettle for tea/coffee making. A microwave is avilable to use in the bistro. Rooms are cleaned daily. Laundry service avilable.

Outside
Barbecue area and many outside seating areas. Shared swimming pool, approx 14 x 6 metres, 2.45 metres at deep end, Roman steps into shallow end. Many sun loungers and tables around pool. Games room with table football, pool table, many puzzles and games for all ages. TV inside the games room, TV inside the bistro with Satellite TV. Wireless internet connection.
Coast/Beach
There are many stunning beaches around the quinta. Fuzeta is about 15 minutes drive from the quinta. A beautiful, clean sandy beach with lifeguard in high season, lots of bars and restaurants near the beach, and a small cafe on the beach itself. You can also catch a small water taxi to Ilha de Tavira from here. 4 Waters (Quatra Aguas) is a beautiful beach with many fish restaurants and fun water sports. You need to drive into Tavira which takes 15 minutes and take a ferry to the beach.
Golf
With East Algarve becoming more and more popular with 'true' golfers, Quinta Fonte Bispo is within half an hour of all golf courses. With our transfer service there's no need to be worried about finding courses or designating drivers, we can take care of all your transport throughout your holiday.
Travel
Faro airport is approx 20 minutes drive away. Easily accessible along the A22 motorway. Car hire is essential.
Distances
Santa Catarina is about 1km away, with typical Portuguese architecture and small shops. Tavira is the nearest town with many shops, restaurants and even castle ruins set in beautiful gardens. A river runs through the centre with an old Roman bridge crossing it. Faro is only 25 minutes drive away, with a mixture of old and new shops, many restaurants and small marina.
