Just a 5 minute drive from the beautiful golden beach of Foz do Arelho, this Silver Coast apartment is wonderfully positioned on a hillside and enjoys amazing views down Obidos lagoon to the left and the Atlantic Ocean to the right. The resort combines safe bathing for children in the clear warm water of the lagoon and fantastic surfing in the Atlantic. The shared pool (13 x 7m) with children's pool is set in lovely gardens, adjacent to a play area. For the convenience of parents with small children, travel cot, stair gate and buggie are provided. This largely undiscovered part of Portugal will not fail to impress!

With weight restrictions in mind, you will find a selection of books, a guide book of Portugal, local road maps and DVDs and cassettes. 2 tennis raquets, beach games and inflatable pool toys are provided. Coast/Beach
Foz do Arelho beach - 5 mins drive. Obidos Lagoon - 10 mins walk. In Foz you will find over 8 beach bars/restaurants, serving a variety of Portuguese and English food. Miles of golden sandy beaches. Safe family bathing in the lagoon. Other beautiful beach resorts about 20 mins away. Fabulous surfing and fishing area.
Golf
Fantastic golf locally. 5 courses within a 25 min drive, 18 within 45 mins. Praia del Rey (European golf destination 2007), Golden Eagle, Campo Real, Ribagolfe and Lisbon sports club.
Travel
Lisbon airport (45 mins drive). Look for cheap direct flights with BMI baby, Monarch. TAP, Easyjet and BA. Car hire is recommended. Excellent bus service from Foz to Caldas da Rainha (20 mins).
Distances
Lisbon (45 mins) well worth a visit. Sao Martinho do Porto, a beautiful, safe, horse-shoe bay (10 mins) Baleal (25 mins) a picturesque beach resort. Peniche (30 mins) a lovely, fishing town with daily boat trips to the lovely fortress island of Berlinga. Obidos (15 mins) a unique medieval walled town, with bougainvillea-filled, cobbled streets (a UNESCO world heritage site). Caldas da Rainha (20 mins) excellent shops, daily fruit and veg market, 4 hypermarkets.
