Notes on accommodation
The penthouse is fully air-conditioned with reversible units (hot/cold), well insulated + double glazing. ADSL (wireless network) available free of charge but bring your own laptop!Access to the penthouse directly from the street with entrance security door + intercom, stairs and lift leading to 3rd floor. Peaceful location, 5 minutes walk from beach, local shops, bars, restaurants, medical centre.
It is not advisable to drink water from the tap in Portugal. Casa Amarela, your penthouse, has got its own unique drinking water system. From the little tap at the bottom of the big kitchen tap comes crystal clear drinking-water (capacity 10 litres per day). This not only saves you money but also the chore of carrying heavy bottles of water during your stay! The lift is for sole use of penthouse guests and lawyer who occupies 2nd floor. The property is suitable for people with mobility problems. High chair, travelcot, paddling pool available at no extra charge.

Accessibility
Although the property is not specially constructed for wheelchair users, the lift is suitable and all doors/entrances to the various rooms in the penthouse are large.
Outside
Large always sunny terrace (100 m2!) with seaview! and panoramic view of Carvoeiro, ideal for sunbathing with 2 large sun awnings (electric), large table + 4 chairs, 4 sunloungers with cushions. Small table with 2 chairs and sun umbrella. Clothes dryer and store cupboard for cushions. Various palms and plants in pots with automatic irrigation system. Outside wall lights.
Coast/Beach
A 5 minutes level walk (easily accessible with pushchairs/wheelchairs) is all that is needed to reach the lovely beach of Carvoeiro. The beach is sheltered by high cliffs and the traditional fishing boats can take you for a trip inside the caves around Carvoeiro. Go on a cliff top walk and view the spectacular scenery at Algar Seco or take your photo's at Paraiso beach.
Golf
Golf enthusiasts please note the ideal location of Penthouse Casa Amarela will enable you to reach the 3 golf courses in the nearby vicinity of Carvoeiro in a very short time.
Vale de Milho (9 holes par 27) - 5 minutes drive. Quinta do Gramacho (18 holes par 72) and Pinta (18 holes par 71) both a 10 minutes drive. You can also take your choice of other Championship courses a 30 minutes drive away at Palmares and Penina and the beautiful courses (40 minutes drive) at Quinta do Largo or Vale do Lobo. The climate in the Algarve is especially suited for this enjoyable sport.
Travel
A 45 minutes drive from Faro airport will bring you to Penthouse Casa Amarela. Cheap flights from the UK to Faro airport are available from many airlines and regional airports, Easy Jet, Thomson Fly, BMI Baby to name but a few. Very reasonably priced car hire arrangements or airport transfers can be arranged. Car hire is not essential as there is plenty to do and see in the Carvoeiro area and surroundings.
Distances
Should you wish to hire a car and go 'exploring', take a ride through spectacular scenery to Monchique in the mountains, the historic towns of Silves and Caldas, eat fish at the harbour in Ferragudo all within easy distance.
For the children are the Zoo Marine, Slide and Splash, Krazy World within a 10 minutes drive from Carvoeiro. The beautiful cities Lisbon and Sevilla (in Spain) are an approximate 2 hours drive away.
Further details
A 2 minutes walk will bring you from the penthouse to the local shops, bars, restaurants, banks, chemist and medical centre. Sport and outdoor activities are all in the vicinity of Carvoeiro.
Booking notes
Non refundable 25% deposit as confirmation of booking. Balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival date. Security deposit of £100 against damages, refundable provided no damages to contents/penthouse and upon return of keys. It is advisable to take adequate insurance cover. Prices may be subject to change at owner's discretion. Payment via bank transfer/Internet banking.
