A food starter pack provided with our compliments, for guests staying a week or more - double bedroom on ground floor front leading to patio and pool. This self contained bedroom has a large en-suite and private fully equipped kitchenette.
Ground floor lounge with 3 couches also leads to patio and pool. Double Bedroom upstairs has small TV with LCD TV in lounge. Extensive roof terrace on first floor accessible through both bedrooms (front and back) and from stairs at rear. There is also a patio at ground floor at back outside kitchen facing an ecological park. Full Sky TV (and radio) including Sky Sports and all BBC, Channel 4 and ITV UK regions. Also RTE / TV3. Broadband, Air Conditioning, printer. All windows and sliding doors have automatic electric shutters with individual control per room and also one button control at main door. Patios at pool and on first floor equipped with garden table and chairs. Mains Gas supplied BBQ near pool at front patio.

Bedroom 2- king bed, 1st floor, TV feed from main TV.
Bedroom 3- twin beds. portable baby playpen, cot.
All bedrooms have glass doors to patio on ground floor and terrace on 1st floor.
Bathrooms: Large en-suite Bedroom with bath, separate shower, twin sinks, wc and bidet.
Bathroom upstairs shared by bedrooms 2 and 3 with bath, separate shower, twin sinks, wc and bidet.
Cloakroom and extra wc on ground floor.
Kitchen: Main kitchen has cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave. (Similar equipment available in the kitchenette in Bedroom 1) - high chair available for baby.
Living Rooms: Open plan lounge, dining and kitchen. Dining table seats 6. Lounge has three comfortable couches. Wood burning heater in fireplace. Satellite TV (feeding to TV upstairs with Sky sports and BBC, ITV channels). Broadband and printer.
Other: Two golf trolleys available for guests.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Maid service twice a week, (can be adjusted to suit individual requirements). Towels and linen supplied and changed weekly. Please bring your own beach towels.

 

Notes on accommodation
Air conditioning with remote controls in all rooms - can be changed in cooler times to heaters. Both bathrooms have electric heaters. Dimplex Heater available. Small A4 safe in bedroom 2. Broadband installed. Deskjet printer available for use by guests. Automatic electric aluminium shutters on all doors except front door. Individual room shutter control in each room and one button control also at main door covering all shutters.

Accessibility
Access from ground floor to first floor is by stairs. There is one step from pathway and patio into Villa.

Outside
Vale Das Flores is a quiet residential area, Zone 10 within Vale Do Lobo. Part of new plans announced by VDL (now looks like late 2009) include adapting the Ecological Park at the rear of our Villa. VDL plan "with entire family in mind - to incorporate various leisure activities, with designated parts for jogging, skating and picnics". Not sure when this will be completed. Plans have apparently already been submitted to the local authorities.
Patio and pool area at front of Villa is accessible from lounge. Separate access to Patio and Pool at front from Bedroom 1. BBQ with main gas supply available beside Pool. This Patio / Terrace area in front has private plunge pool (about 7m x 4m). Small quiet cooler patio at back outside kitchen overlooking the Ecological Park. Outside terrace on first floor accessible either through back door at landing at top of stairs or through main first floor double bedroom at front or through twin bedroom at rear.

Coast/Beach
Vale Do Lobo's private beach is at Praca, 25 minute pleasant walk from our Villa or a 5 minute drive. The VDL Bus is also available to call and collect you (on purchase of weekly Visitors Welcome Card from VDL). Bus can be booked through Vale Do Lobo reception through our Villa telephone extension. It's possible to walk the full length of sandy beach from Praca west to Quarteira (45 mins) and east to Quinta Do Lago (45 minutes) and Faro (60 mins +).

Golf
Villa is near 8th fairway on Vale Do Lobo Ocean course and close (15 minute walk) to VDL Clubhouse and seperate VDL Royal course. A combination of holes from these two 18 hole courses have hosted the Portuguese Open in recent years. Close proximity (15 minute drive) to award winning San Lorenzo. Quinta do Lago South and North (10 minute drive) and Pinheirous Altos, 27 holes (10 minute drive). Villamoura's many courses only 20 minute drive away, including Old, Millenium and Victoria which hosted the Portugal Masters in October 2007. Green fee discounts available with Vale Do Lobo visitors cards for Royal and Ocean courses which can be purchased and other green fee discounts available through various golf internet sites.

Special interest holidays
Vale do Lobo Tennis academy with 14 courts, including Gym, Swimming Pool, Pro Shop, Restaurant. New exciting Royal Spa Vale Do Lobo was opened in 2007. Book through VDL Golf centre.

Our Villa Manager in Algarve can organise the following for guests if desired: Car Hire, Book Restaurants, Catering, Horse Riding, Tennis, Golf, Various Water slide parks, Swimming with the Dolphins, Trips (customised shopping, sightseeing, gastronomic), Trips to Lisbon, Oporto, Coimbra and Spain. Seville can be reached by car in about 2 hours from Faro.

Travel
Faro Airport is 18km (20 mins drive) to and from our Villa. Car Hire or Taxi's are available at Airport and can be organised for guests in advance by our Villa Manager. Car Hire is strongly recommended for holiday.

Loule Market Town 10km, 15 minute drive.
Almancil 6km, 10 minutes drive.
Villamura 12km, 17 minutes drive.
Waterparks 10km, 15 minutes drive.

Further details
Excellent selection of restaurants with various cuisine styles including 4 Michelin *ones in close proximity and in the general Almancil area. Central Algarve magazine available in the Villa lists restaurant details and contact numbers. Guests can dial VDL reception as you would in a hotel: to book restaurants, taxis and for general information. Apalonia supermarket in Almancil - 10 mins drive has an excellent deli fresh food counter and our local Ali Super(market) is less than a 5 minute drive from Villa. Medical Centre with Doctors available in Vale Do Lobo, 5 minute drive. Dentists in Quinta Do Lago Shopping Centre. Less than 10 minute drive.
Many ATM's and local banks and PO facilities close by.
The Shop in Vale Do Lobo golf centre has large selection of daily papers.

Booking notes
25% booking fee and full payment due 8 weeks before holiday start date. 350 Euros damage deposit required will be refunded within 21 days providing our Villa Management Company (and merry maids) confirm no damage. Additional Euros 150 per week required for air-conditioning (or heating) -AC generally only needed July and August.
