Casa Aguia is a delightful detached villa with its own private pool set in spacious mature gardens close to the famous, sandy, 2 mile long beach of Meia Praia and just a 5 minute drive from the historic cosmopolitan city of Lagos. You can walk to the fabulous Meia Praia beach in about 15 minutes and for golfers the excellent Palmares golf course is a 5 minute drive away and Boavista just 10 minutes in the opposite direction. Lagos is one of the most attractive cities in the Algarve where you can wander the narrow cobbled streets of the old quarter at your leisure and enjoy a drink or leisurely lunch or dinner at one of the many street cafes. There is a plentiful amount of nightlife comprising bars, nightclubs and restaurants. To the west of the city you will find the beaches of Praia D'Ana and Porto Do Mos with interesting rock formations and excellent snorkelling. The Lagos Marina offers numerous cruises and boat trips, including dolphin watching.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds as indicated for 1 or 2 week lets. Longer rental periods are negotiable. A 20% non-returnable deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance and a £200 damage/breakage bond due eight weeks before day of departure. The £200 damage/breakage bond will be returned once a satisfactory itinerary has taken place.
Changeover day
Changeover day is normally Thursday or Saturday but this is flexible. Please contact the owner for details. Please note that occupancy starts at 4pm on day of arrival and ends at 10am on day of departure.

The villa is an upside down design with bedrooms on the ground floor. Bedroom 1 with double bed and en suite, Bedroom 2 with double bed.
Bedroom 3 with 2 single beds. All have fitted wardrobes. |

Bedroom 1 has en-suite with wc, large bath, shower and twin handbasins.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a bathroom with wc, hand basin and shower. |

Fully equipped kitchen includes microwave, cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and all cutlery and crockery. |

Spacious living room on first floor overlooking pool and with a large terrace that offers beautiful views across the Monchique hills. Many comfortable sofas and chairs, satellite TV/DVD. Access to roof terrace offering views of the sea and countryside. |

Cleaning/towels/

Maid service provided twice a week. All bedlinen, bathroom towels and pool towels provided. Towel change once a week (not including pool towels). |
Notes on accommodation
The villa of Casa Agiuas offers numerous spacious terraces surrounding the large pool (10m x 5m) and plenty of space to enjoy those summer barbecues. The grounds are enclosed by a wall with double gates and parking for at least 2/3 cars.

Outside
The gardens and terraces have numerous sun loungers, chairs and tables offering various locations to sunbathe and dine throughout the day and evening. With Portugal offering a wonderfully moderate climate throughout the whole of the year, Casa Aguias offers facilities that can be enjoyed at all times, for golfers and sun worshippers alike.
Coast/Beach
The 2 mile long, sandy beach of Meia Praia is a 10 minute walk away, with its beach cafes. The Marina, with its cafes, restaurants and facilities for cruises, boat trips, etc is only a 10 minute drive.
Golf
The excellent golf courses of Palmares (5 mins) with it's sea views and Boa Vista (10 mins) are just a short drive from Casa Aguias, with the courses at Parque de Foresta and Pestana (Gramacho/La Pinta) just 30 mins away.
Special interest holidays
For the adventuresome, the west coast of Portugal is just an hour away, famous for its surfing and rugged scenery as much of the land to the West is owned and managed by the National Park. Of course a visit to Cape St. Vincent, the furthermost western point of Portugal is a must with its tall cliffs and tumultuous seas between the historic fort of Sagres and the Cape.
Travel
Faro is 50 mins away by car but there is cheap and easy train service from Faro to Lagos, the villa would be just a short taxi from the station. Although, car hire is recommended in order to get the most out of this wonderful central location that allows easy access to the Algarve, with beautiful beaches, historic towns and forts of Praia de Luz, Monchique, Silves, Portimao all within a 30 minute drive.
Further details
There is a mini mart close by that sells most essential supplies including wine, fresh bread, fruit and vegetables and a choice of four supermarkets in and around Lagos.
Booking notes
A 20% non-returnable deposit would be required at the time of booking (dates would be held for three days to allow for flight bookings etc from initial enquiry and completion of booking form via email/post) with the balance due eight weeks before date of departure.
