Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. Air-conditioning and pool heating are available at £200 each per week. A security deposit of £200 is payable with the final balance which will be refunded when your stay is over and everything is in order. Please enquire about longer period rentals.
Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible and will depend upon availability. The villa sleeps a maximum of 8 adults and up to 2 small children and babies - cots and highchairs can be rented on request.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning available at £150/week. Pool Heating also available at £150 per week. Rental of Casa Bonita gives guests access to the many other facilities on the resort. This includes a large communal salt-water swimming pool and separate children’s pool. The poolside 'Cabana do Pescador' (Fisherman's Hut), 'L’Escargot' restaurant, and the 'Mercearia' restaurant which is open all year round from 8am to 10pm in the summer and 9am to 6pm in the winter, and also offers a takeaway menu and a small grocery/delicatessen.
Outside
Outdoor terraces including dining table with seating for 8. BBQ area off kitchen terrace. Magnificent pool (10m x 4m) and tiled pool deck with 8 sun loungers. Stunning sea views from all terraces and balconies. On all sides of the villa are planted gardens with a shaded car port at the front of the house. This is accessed through remote control electric gates. There is ample further car parking for a number of cars at the front of the villa. Porto Dona Maria is a beautiful new resort with reception and 24 hour security.
Coast/Beach
The house lies just metres from the coast with access to a clifftop walk which runs for many kilometres along the coastline, taking you from the house east to the beach at Luz within 15 mins walk and to Burgau to the west in around 20 mins. The nearest beach is at Luz and is 1 km away. The beach at Burgau is 1.5 km.
Golf
Porto Dona Maria are currently constructing a Golf Academy, including a 9 hole course, which is anticipated to be open in mid-2008. Boavista Golf, an impressive 18 hole championship golf course with spectacular scenery and delightful views of Lagos Bay and the Monchique Mountains is only 4km away. Parque da Floresta 18 hole Championship golf course, with breathtaking views over the rolling hills of the Western Algarve National Park Conservation area, is 4km west of Porto Dona Maria. This golf course also offers free golf lessons for children. Palmares Championship course is approx 20 minutes drive away and the famous Penina course is approx 30 minutes drive away.
Travel
Faro airport is 70 kms away with the motorway running straight to Lagos making the villa extremely accessible with a journey time of just 50 mins. Car hire is recommended.
Distances
The villa is located 10 mins drive from Lagos and just 1 min by car from the pretty beach village of Luz or 3 mins to the picturesque fishing village of Burgau. A short drive takes you to San Vincent de Cabo - the amazing clifftop lighthouse and the most westerly point of mainland Europe. Also nearby is the fortress at Sagres which dates back to Moorish times and the hilltop Castle at Silves which can be reached by car or by boat from Portimao.
Further details
As well as many restaurants, cafes and bars in both Luz and Burgau, the lively marina town of Lagos holds plenty of nightlife including bars, restaurants, cafes and nightclubs. It also has fantastic shopping through quaint cobbled streets which come alive with street entertainers throughout the summer months.
The local supermarket (Baptista) in Luz is superb - beautiful local breads and cakes and a wide selection of fresh meats and seafood. The larger Intermarche is located on the road to Lagos.
Burgau Sports Centre offers a range of children’s sports including tennis, football, hockey, touch rugby, running races, swimming races, diving competitions, baseball and rounders. Luz has a watersports centre offering jetskis, banana boats, windsurfing and the marina at Lagos offers boat trips to the grottos and caves around the coast. The Algarve is famous for its fantastic fresh seafood and a number of first class restaurants are in the Lagos area including the Portuguese top 10 Restaurant Ancora in Burgau. Banks and cash machines are available in Luz and Lagos.
Booking notes
A 25% non-refundable deposit is payable to secure your booking with the full balance payable 8 weeks prior to the booking start. Cancellations within 4-8 weeks of your arrival date will incur a cancellation charge equal to 50% of the total rental amount; cancellations within 2-4 weeks will incurr a charge equal to 75% of the total rental amount while cancellations in the 2 week period prior to your arrival date will incurr a charge equal to 100% of the total rental amount.
