Both apartments are fully air conditioned/heated well equipped apartments & furnished to a really high standard,providing a comfortable home with everything you need for a lovely holiday. Ideally situated in the Quinta da Gomeira development near to the village and seafront,the 1 bed apartment is situated adjacent to one of the 4 swimming pools on the complex that are security gated for residents only.The 2 bed apartment is situated in one of the best positions on the front of the development. You will find a toddlers play park, O' Escalho café(with free internet access) bar/bakery, the Cabanas Brasserie restaurant + newsagent & laundry all within the complex. A short stroll takes you to the village where numerous cafes + restaurants provide a wide range of dishes at very reasonable prices. The wonderful beach of Cabanas can be reached by a 2 minute ferry boat ride across the lagoon. Also very well situated for bus/train/taxis.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the properties/week in UK Pounds. For 5/6 people staying in 2 bed apartment add £30.00/£40.00 per person a week depending on time of year. Discount for long lets.Short stays negotiable. We will accept payment in Euros this will have to be agreed at the time of booking.
Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible, vacate apartments by 11am on day of departure (if there are no incoming guests this can be extended).
Notes on accommodation
1 bedroom apartment has got security shutters to all windows/patio doors. Telephone entry system. It is a raised ground floor apartment (5 steps) suitable for all generations. The air conditioning also doubles as heating during the winter months making it ideal for longer winter lets. There is also a ceiling fan fitted in the lounge. Travel cot and highchairs can be provided. Selection of books, games, CDs and DVDs to suit both young and old.
2 bedroom apartment also has security shutters to all doors & windows + mosquito blinds for extra peace of mind.The air conditioning can also be used for heating during the winter months.
The apartment is child friendly having screening fitted on the balcony rails + childrens play area near apartment.
A selection of books, games, CDs & DVDs to suit young & old + travel cot, highchair & pushchair if needed.
A video entrance system is also installed.
Apartments cleaned weekly. Fresh linen/towels provided weekly. Please provide own beach towels
Accessibility
In the 1 bedroom entrance hall there are 5 internal steps leading to the apartment door once inside it is all on one level.
The 2 bedroom has stairs up to the 1st floor.
Outside
The 1 bedroom apartment looks out over the quiet swimming pool/garden area, access is gained by swipe card for use of property owners and guest's (2 x chairs provided in apartment). There are 4 shared pools in total, all kept to a high standard,the depth is 0.8 to 1.6 metres with steps at the shallow end. The 2 bedroom apartment is in one of the best positions at the front of the development with a sunny south facing balcony with views looking towards the village.This gets sun all day & its a great place to just chill out & watch the sun go down.
Coast/Beach
The wonderful beach of Cabanas can be reached by a 2 minute ferry boat ride across the lagoon for just over 1 euro return, again only minutes from the apartments. You can take the chairs from the apartments or hire sunbeds, you can take your own refreshments or can get food and drinks from the beach bars. It is ideal for walking along, to the left you can walk to Fabrica to the right is towards Tavira. You can also go to Tavira by Water Taxi from the promenade, a real nice way to travel.
Golf
2 sets of golf clubs are available for our guests to use free of charge, all we ask is if any equipment is damaged etc an agreed price to replace it is paid,Benemar golf club situated off the N125 roundabout just up the road from the apartments. You can also hire all the equipment you need locally, there are 3 more golf courses within 15 minutes drive from Cabanas.
Special interest holidays
The area is ideal for walking/bird spotting/cycling, various water sports, equipment can all be hired locally. There is a coastal cycle path which is great to follow (cycling or walking) and the wildlife you encounter along here can be stunning.
Travel
Faro airport is about 35km / 40 mins drive by taxi/car. You can get a shuttle bus from the airport into Faro then a bus or train to Cabanas (under 5 Euros/person). A car is handy but not necessary as the bus and train services can take you all over the Algarve and over into Spain. Seville Airport is another option and is about 140km / 90 mins drive.
Further details
Along the promenade a new walkway is being constructed + the road made into a one way system so along with the recently built marina should give the seafront a nice cosmopolitan look.
You can get ferry boats to the superb Atlantic beach during the summer months from 07.00 till 1900 hours,it costs just over 1 euro return.The 3 kilometre long sandy beach is never overcrowded & has a cafe/bar,you can hire different water sports equipment & is ideal for walking or just chilling out.
During the winter months there is a limited boat service to the main beach, you obtain tickets at the nearby Pedras da Rainha reception.The boat times are 10.00, 12.00, 1400 & 16.00 & catch it at the Golden Club beach.
The local bus & train services are ideal to get to different places on the Algarve & to Spain & are well priced as are the local taxis.
The local cafe bars & restaurants are all excellent in their own ways & again well priced serving superb local & international cuisine.
In the village you will find a daily indoor market selling meat/fish/fruit & veg,several small supermarkets,butchers,banks,chemist & gift shops.
In nearby Tavira you will find the Grand Plaza shopping centre with a large supermarket & wide variety of stores(including C&A),there is also a Lidl,Aldi & other large supermarkets to choose from in the town.
Tavira is a very historic town with lots of character & superb riverside restaurants,to have lunch at one of these is a holiday must do.
In the other direction from Cabanas is Villa Real San Antonio which is the last town of the Eastern Algarve,here you can get a ferry across the river to Ayemonte in Spain & is well worth a visit but bear in mind time difference(they are 1 hour ahead of Portugal).

Booking notes
£50 / 75 euros deposit and the remaining balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure. We don't ask for a bond payment but expect any breakages to be replaced or paid for locally. We can arrange a local taxi to meet you at the airport and you will be met at the apartment and given the keys. We also we provide a welcome pack in the rental price. Both apartments are totally non smoking.
