Villa Louella is built in the typical Algarvian style, spacious and comfortable. A refitted and fully equipped kitchen makes self catering a pleasure there is also a lovely barbeque seating area for that essential al fresco dining. The private, heated pool with Roman steps measures 10m x 5m and is 1.7m at its deepest. The pool can be illuminated at night and the large terrace creates a lovely atmosphere to enjoy the beautiful and scenic surroundings. The accommodation has 3 spacious bedrooms 2 double and 1 twin, the master bedroom is situated on the ground floor and the upstairs bedrooms have French windows opening onto the South facing upper terrace. The comfortable lounge which has double aspect French windows opening onto the pool area has a wood burning fire, satellite TV and video player. This villa enjoys privacy with superb uninterrupted views over open countryside and is ideal for relaxation and also makes a perfect base for exploring the real Portugal.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Discounts available for 2 persons. Special price for 2 persons November – March: £250 per week including heating and first load of firewood. Heated pool: £50 per week.

Changeover day
Thursday is the preferred changeover day. Access to Villa Louella is not until 14:00 hours on day of arrival, the villa must be vacated by 10:00 hours on the day of departure. Please note that where possible we will be flexible with the above conditions.

Bedrooms: All bedrooms have marble flooring and are decorated in a typical Algarvian style. The master bedroom (ground floor) has access directly onto the pool terrace. The upstairs bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with large French windows to the upper terrace.
Bathrooms: Ground floor shower room with hand basin and wc. The upstairs bathroom boasts bath/shower over with wc and bidet. Both have shaver/electric toothbrush sockets.
Kitchen: The large kitchen has recently been re-fitted and is complete with cooker, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and fridge/freezer. It also has a 6-seater dining table for indoors eating. Large French windows open directly onto the pool terrace.
Living Rooms: Lounge/dining room with double aspect French windows leading to pool, garden/terraces. Digital satellite TV and wood burning fire.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
The weekly rental is inclusive of linen, towels (including beach towels), gas, water and electricity. The pool and surrounding area is checked and cleaned on a daily basis. The villa is cleaned midweek with a fresh towel change whilst occupied.

 

Notes on accommodation
The villa is walled and gated making it ideal for children. Oil fired radiators are available in the lounge and bedrooms a must for winter lets.

Accessibility
A ramp is available for wheelchair access to the master bedroom. The rest of the ground floor is on one level as is the large pool terrace.

Outside
The recently installed private swimming pool measures 10m x 5m and and can be heated on request. Access is by Roman steps and the maximum depth is 1.7m. The large surrounding terrace and pool can be illuminated. Poolside furniture including sun loungers and parasols are available as standard. The walled garden is lawned and stocked with mature trees and palms. The garden is automatically irrigated. The outdoor barbecue has a lovely covered seating area which is ideal for al fresco dining.

Coast/Beach
Villa Louella is just over a 2km from the nearest beach (Boco do Rio). It is a few minutes drive from the lively resort of Praia da Luz and sits equidistant (3km) between the unspoilt fishing villages of Burgau and Salema, both of which boast golden sands and restaurants.

Golf
For keen golfers there is the superb "Parque de Floresta" leisure resort that offers a bowling green, tennis or spa as well as an excellent golf course. There is also the "Boa Vista" golf course and both of these are only a 5 minute drive away. There is also the "Palmaris" golf course or the Henry Cotton designed championship course at Pennina. Both of these courses are only a 20 minute drive from Villa Louella.

Travel
Villa Louella is situated near to Burgau and Salema. Faro Airport is a 1 hour drive via the A22 and N125. Car hire is recommended.

Distances
The local village of Vale de Boi is a 5 minute walk. Budens, a larger village, is a 10 minute walk and has a supermarket, bar, restaurant with local bakery. The market town of Lagos is 15km away which not only boasts many areas of historic interest but also has a choice of beaches, a marina, plus excellent restaurants and shopping facilities. The beautiful area of Monchique is a 45 minute drive and 35 minutes west is Sagres, known in ancient times as "the end of the world".

Further details
The local supermarket (EcoMarche) in Budens stocks pretty much everything of need and even has a fresh fish stall. There is also a newsagent and a cashpoint available. There are good restaurants in Burgau, Salema and Lagos has a varied choice of bars and eating places. Horse riding is available within 5 minutes drive of the villa. Sagres is a haven for surfing and diving nuts. Waterslide parks are within 30 minutes drive or if you enjoy a walk in the local countryside there is the breathtaking scenery.
