Casa Onrust means 'House of Peace' in Afrikaans. The setting and location live up to the name. Vale Telheiro was recently described as the 'Tuscany' of Portugal. The cottage has an attractive shaded terrace and the pool is surrounded by lawns and palm trees and seating areas. The owner lives in the main house with her friendly labradors Paula and Oscar who adore children. Uschi goes out of her way to ensure that a holiday at Onrust will be a tranquil experience. She's an artist and her flair is reflected throughout the whole place. Beautiful paintings adorn the walls and wonderful fabrics are used for curtains and soft furnishings. If you want to pamper yourself while on holiday, there is a beauty treatment/therapy room tucked away in the garden and the owner can provide aromatherapy, colour consulting and hairdressing. Alternatively you can just relax by the lovely pool and walk through surrounding countryside. Enjoy the calming atmosphere of this most delightful place.

Changeover days are either Saturdays or Wednesdays. This may be flexible upon request.

Towels and linen are changed once a week. The property is cleaned once a week. |
Notes on accommodation
This property is ideal for families with children and has a safe children's area with play equipment. The property is completely fenced in and secure. The large garden contains beautiful shrubs, plants and trees and provides colour all year round supplemented with seating areas and sculptures everywhere. Please note the inside accommodation is non-smoking but guests may, if they wish, smoke outside.
Accessibility
The main apartment is situated on ground level suitable for wheelchair access. There is a seating terrace in front with a shaded BBQ area. The upstairs studio is accessible by staircase and separate entrace. The apartment and studio are available as one let.
Outside
Parking is available within the grounds. The pool area is surrounded by trees and shrubs. Sun loungers and umbrellas are provided and there is an outdoor shower.
Coast/Beach
Some of the Algarves most beautiful beaches are within a short drive from the property.
Golf
Within 15 minutes drive, you will find some of the best golf courses in the world: Vilamoura, Pinhal, Quinta do Lago, Vale da Lobo.
Special interest holidays
The area is ideal for walking and sightseeing. Beaches are within 20 minutes by car. Horse Riding is available at Vale do Lobo. There are two waterparks within easy reach.
Travel
Faro Airport is 20 minutes away. A car is essential to enjoy all that the Algarve has to offer.
Distances
The market town of Loule with it's beautifully restored Moorish Market is 5 minutes away. Here you will find a multitude of restaurants, shops, boutiques and the famous gypsy market held on Saturdays.

Booking notes
A 30% deposit by bank transfer in euros is required on booking. The full balance being payable 8 weeks before arrival. For bookings within 4 weeks, payment is due in full. A security deposit of 200 euros is required with the final payment which will be returned after inspection, provided no damage has occurred.
