Changeover day
Saturday changeover day. Vacate by 10am. Arrival after 4pm (although this could be flexible) in different months of the year.

Towels and linen supplied. Property clean on arrival, if you require a clean after 1st week if you are staying for 2 it will be 30 euros paid directly to cleaner you will have to leave premises for around 5 hours for this to be carried out. |

We have three young children of our own, so safety is of most importance, for instance lockable gates to pool area and to the private no through road outside. Lawns to side and back.

Outside
Large patio table and chairs in sun room, sun loungers, BBQ, small heated pool 8x3m. 1.250m (deep). All fenced and gated. Various pool toys. Pool has a heat pump that costs an extra £80 per weeks rental.
Coast/Beach
Foz de Arehlo beach 25 mins. San Martinho 35 mins. Peniche with Water Park (open mid June to early September). 50 mins to Nazare beach. Plenty of other nice spots to explore.
Golf
Plenty of good golf courses all within a short driving distance.
Travel
Lisbon airport 60-80 mins. Porto airport 2½ hours. Car hire is essential (‘Economy Car Hire’ we find the best).
Distances
Villa is in a small tranquil location. There are bread, fruit and veg vans which visit daily you will hear them tooting! Nearest supermarket 15 mins, cafe/bar 2 mins by car. Restaraunts are all dotted about all within a short drive nearest 10 mins.
Further details
Our villa is situated in a very beautiful tranquil area, it is real old Portugal. Plenty of places to visit Obidos castle town, Peniche fishing village, Nazare plenty of restaurants and bars and great at night time at the weekends. There is a water sports centre on the lagoon at Foz de Arehlo. There is a market at Santana on Sunday mornings which is amazing typical old market from years gone by. There is also a market on Monday’s at Caldas. Lisbon is a good place to visit if you have the time the Ocenarium is amazing at the expo site. Caldas da Rainha has plenty of cafe/bars nice shops, a nice park by the spa hospital with a boating lake (in season). Fatima the religious shrine is around 60 mins drive and is very beautiful. There is a cash point in nearby Vidais and Caldas and Rio Maior have plenty of banks close to villa.
