Changeover day
Guests are normally unable to gain access to the flat until 3 pm and must be prepared to vacate by 11 noon to allow for cleaning and change of linen. Changeover normally takes place at the weekend unless arranged differently.

Coast/Beach
From north to south of Ericeira you have about 10 different beaches available, perfect for sports such as surfing which is widely practice in Ericeira, to hangliding and sport fishing. The Whale Beach is 10 minute walk downhill from the flat, located 0.5km from the village's high street. Ericeira has been the host of the International championship of surf for more than 20 years in Ribeira d'Ilhas beach. The coastal area is characterized by cliffs, thick sand, winds and rich iodized kelp.
Golf
Golf is available within 1/2 hour drive from Ericeira, in Praia del Ray as well as in Torres Vedras and Estoril (25km away).
Travel
Car hire is recommended, however a bus garage situated 15 minutes walk from the flat, in the main town provides a bus service between Ericeira and Lisbon, Mafra, Torres Vedras, Sintra, and Azenhas dos Tanoeiros. It's advisable to have a copy of the times and schedules as some buses are only available hourly. Parking by the flat is available without restrictions. Lisbon airport is 45 Km away (app. 45 minutes) by car via motorway drive (pay token motorway).
Distances
Mafra is 10 km from Ericeira, Sintra 25km and Estoril 35km. Ericeira has easy access to motorway network. Hypermarkets can be found in Mafra and Torres Vedras, but the town centre has several supermarkets and a shopping centre.

Lisbon airport is served by both schedule and low cost airlines from Luton, Gatwick, Birmingham, and Heathrow. Ericeira is a charming, traditional fishing village in the north of the Lisbon cost with a vast number of cafes, restaurants, bars and a shopping centre. The village is surrounded by deep valleys and rising hills. Ericeira is divided by the ‘old village’ with narrow roads, small houses and tradition monuments and the new areas with modern and spacious houses and flats. Sea food dishes are popular in most restaurants. Surfing lessons are available for the less experienced.
Booking notes
When booking an advance non-refundable deposit of 20% is required, the balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure. In addition a security payment of £100 is added to your final payment to cover any damages or breakages; this will be refunded back to you within 7 days of your departure from the flat.
