A beautifully restored old Manor House from the 18th Century with 3 acres of landscaped gardens in the Lima Valley of Minho, the greenest part of Portugal. Here you can enjoy full privacy and peace, with good weather most of the year. The House, 400m2, is tastefully decorated throughout. A full sized pool, with pool furniture and pool lights. The nearby village can offer you fresh bread, fish, and meat, and a supermarket just around the corner from the Quinta. Lanheses is a pleasent, friendly village with a variety of cafees, bars, it has a post office, bank and pharmacy. The nearest town (10 mins drive) is the oldest town of Portugal; Ponte de Lima wich also has a very good 18-hole Golf Course. Viana do Castelo is only 15 mins drive (nearest City). Porto and the airport is approx. 70 km away.

Changeover day
April to September strictly Saturday - Saturday.
Arrival generally 17.00 however if owner is notified other can be arranged.

Bedroom 7 with twin beds + sofa beds (bunk beds can be arranged)
Bathrooms: Double bedroom has separate WC and shower just outside the room.
All other rooms has en-suits with shower and WC.
Room 5 has a bath with WC.
Room 6 has a massage shower and WC.
All rooms have bidet.
Kitchen: Build in electric oven, gas hob (5), fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, breakfast table for 4 - 6.
Utility Room: Washing machine with tumble dryer. Extra fridge/freezer. Iron board, iron, baby seat. Hair dryer.
Living Rooms: Large living room with double sofa beds, Cable TV, open log fire. Big dining table. Access to the pool.
Other: Bedroom 6 is like a mini suite inside the house that has a seperate private sitting area with double bedsofa.
Bedroom 7 is a private suite rented seperately within the party. Perfect for a family with small children. Bunkbeds/Cot can be arranged.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All towels and linen are included. Maid is cleaning Monday - Saturday. Linen changed twice a week, towels changed twice a week or when needed. Beach towels not included.

Notes on accommodation
Suitable for children. Pets welcome. House is naturally cool in the summer. The central heating is included in the price for the winter season. Logs for the open fire is bought seperatly to a small price.

Accessibility
Good car park facilites on the yard. Private wall surrounded the whole Quinta with landscaped gardens facing the house. Gate. Drive way.

Outside
Landscaped gardens with palm trees, olive trees, orange trees. Furnished Stone terrace buildt of granite on ground floor. BBQ, private pool. Furnished terrace on the second floor, with steps leading down to the pool.

Coast/Beach
Viana do Castelo can offer many different beaches. It takes about 15 minutes to drive to the nearest beach. If you take your time looking you can find private beaches.
Most popular beaches are "Afife", "Carreco", "Cabedelo", "Amorosa".
The river "Rio Lima" is clean enough to take a dip in, and it is about 10 minutes walk from the house.

Golf
20 minutes to Ponte de Lima 18-hole Golf Course.

Special interest holidays
Port wine tour with driver or other guided tours such as e.g. "Vinho Verde" (Green Wine) district can be arranged with driver.
Plate shooting in the village.
Windsurfing beaches in Viana do Castelo.
Canoeing in Ponte de Lima.
Horse track riding in Ponte de Lima.

Travel
70km from Porto airport.
Car rental is recommended at the airport.
We can arrange for a mini bus to pick you up at the airport, to a good price.
Day tours can be arranged by booking in advance.

A couple of nearby restaurants.
5 minute walk to bank, post, and pharmacy.
The North part of Portugal, Costa Verde, has a lot of culture and nature to offer. It is the greenest part of the country.

Booking notes
Booking is made directly to to owner. A 25% deposit upon booking is required to secure booking. The remaining is due 2 months prior to arrival.
Bank transfers or bankers cheque is acceptable.
