Lovely villa, built in the typical 'Algarvian style', spacious and comfortable. A fully equipped kitchen makes self catering a pleasure or the BBQ and patio area are perfect for dining alfresco. The large pool, which is illuminated at night, has a slide at the deep end with loungers around the sun terrace. The villa is located with its own grounds, 1½ miles each way between the unspoilt villages af Bergau and Salema.Lagos is a 20 minute car ride, with its lively Marina, bars and restaurants. The beautiful area of Monchique is just 45 minutes away. 20 minutes in the opposite direction will get you to Sagres and Cape St Vincent, an area popular with surfers. Golfers can take advantage of the excellent courses at Parque Floresta 5 minutes car ride, Boa Vista 10 minute car ride, or a little further is Palmaris or the championship course at Pennina. The villa is located in a peaceful secluded area so it is ideal for just 'just chilling out', golfing, or exploring the real Portugal.

Changeover day
The preferred changeover day is Saturday, but can be flexible out of season. Arrival time is 2pm and departure time is 10am. Any queries please e-mail.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | There are 4 bedrooms downstairs, two double bedrooms and two twin rooms. The upstairs bedrooms are a 'family suite', that consists of a twin room connected to a double room. All bedrooms have fans, are roomy and have ample wardrobe space. |
| Bathrooms: | Bathroom 1 has a shower, bidet, WC and wash basin. Bathroom 2 has a bath, over bath/shower, bidet, WC and wash basin. Bathroom 3 is en-suite to the upstairs double and has a shower, WC and wash basin. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker, hob, low level grill, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and coffee perculator. With ample crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and utensils. |
| Utility Room: | Washing machine, iron and ironing board. |
| Living Rooms: | Spacious lounge that is comfortably furnished with its own bar and fridge for beers, wine, ice etc. Patio doors leading on to the pool area. Wood burning fire, satellite T.V, DVD player. There is also a CD player and radio for your use. |
| Other: | The dining room with its large dinning table is big enough to accommodate a family comfortably, with a cosy 'reading corner' for people who like a quiet read. There is a variety of paperbacks and games for your use. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All bed linen is included and is changed weekly. Bath/shower towels and tea towels are provided. Please bring your own pool/beach towels. Fresh towels are provided midweek when the bathrooms are cleaned. |
Notes on accommodation
The villa has 3 cots, 2 highchairs & a baby monitor. Car hire is recommended. There are on site caretakers, who will greet you on your arrival at the villa and be on hand for any problems or advice on places to eat or visit. They also offer a babysitting service or full cooked breakfast for golfing parties (as an extra). A welcome pack is provided and during winter months the first lot of logs is included in the price. There are also oil filled heaters in the villa. The caretakers have access to the internet and would be happy to make this available to you. If you would like a meal ready on your arrival, car hire arranged, cold beers in the fridge or any other query e-mail Chris and Deb, and they will be happy to help with all requests.

Accessibility
Ground floor is all 1 level, ramps can be provided for front and patio doors, shower room would be ideal for people with low mobility, but the door to it is not wide enough for a wheelchair.
Wheelchair, zimmer frames etc are available for hire locally and can be arranged for you. Caretakers would be happy to help with any requests.
Outside
The villa is in 4 acres of land with various fruit trees (which you are welcome to eat when in season). The large private pool measures 11x6m, is 1.70 at the deep end where there is a slide, which is ideal for family fun, or steps descend into the shallow end of the pool, which measures 0.8m. The pool is illuminated at night creating a lovely atmosphere to sit and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The BBQ is located next to the kitchen on the patio area with ample tables and chairs. There are loungers all around the pool area, with umbrellas if you require a little shade from the sun which is on the pool all day until about 7pm.
Coast/Beach
The villa is located 1½ mile between the unspoilt fishing villages of Bergau and Salema, both boast golden sands and excellent restaurants/bars and are good for snorkelling or a quiet day on the beach. Praia da Luz is a 15 mins car ride, this is busier with Pedalos, Para-gliding, wind surfing, sailing and banana boat rides all on offer. The west coast is excellent for surfers with lessons on offer at most beaches. There are also many other beautiful beaches along the coast
Golf
For keen golfers there is the superb 'Parque da Floresta' lesiure resort that offers a bowling green, tennis court and spa as well as an excellent golf course, this a 5 min car ride, or the 'Boa Vista' golf course which is a 10 min car ride. There is also 'Palmairis' golf course or the championship course at 'Penina', which was designed by Sir Henry Cotton, both these courses are a 20 min car ride from the villa. Golf parties are offered a 'full cooked breakfast', as an extra, if required. There are many other golf courses further afield, with the courses on the Algarve being regarded as the best in Europe. All golf courses offer various discounts and special offers throughout the year.
Travel
Faro is the nearest airport, which is a 1 hour drive via the A22 and the N125-directions from the airport would be supplied. Car hire is recommended and can be arranged for you (at the best price) to start and end at Faro airport, confirmation would be sent to you via e-mail.
Distances
Our local village of Budens is 2 mins in the car, where there is a supermarket, bakers, launderette etc. The historic town of Lagos is a 20 min car ride, the beautiful area of Monchique is a 45 min car ride. The town of Portimoa that has a very busy Marina and lovely shops is 30 min car ride. Sagres, which was known as 'the end of the world' to ancient explorers and Cape St. Vincent is a 20 min car ride. There are interesting ruins of forts all along the coast.
Further details
There are many excellent local restaurants, all of which are happy to welcome children, they range in price from the inexpensive local restaurants, Chinese, Indians, pizza parlours to the more exclusive cordon bleu, catering for all tastes. For people who like a more lively holiday, Lagos has many clubs and bars that are open until the early hours (taxi fare from Lagos is around 15-20 euros). There is a regular bus service, throughout the day. If you are interested in activities, there is horse riding, scuba diving, canoeing, mountain biking and many other things, you also have boat trips from Lagos, Aqua Parks and Zoomarine.
Booking notes
The villa is also available to rent, downstairs only, which would be 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, (it would remain as private to you). A 25% deposit would confirm dates and any applicable discounts, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to your holiday. A confirmation of deposit received would be sent via e-mail and full directions, contact numbers and any other relevant information would be sent on receipt of final payment
