The flat is out by the beaches and the mouth of the Douro River (southern side). It’s a relaxing place, with walkways, cycle tracks, cool beach bars and good seafood restaurants. From the flat you can walk straight down to a 15km stretch of white-sand blue-flag beaches or head along the scenic river road, past Afurada fishing village and straight to the Port cellars and historic centre of Porto. Views are of the river itself and pine forests and there's a shared garden and barbeque area downstairs. The flat is spacious, modern and fully-equipped. All in all, much better than staying in one of the busy central city hotels!

Travel
Porto airport is 20km away. Taxi 20 euros. Local bus just outside the flat which goes into town (or taxi in 5 minutes: 10 euros). Walkways and cycle tracks along the coast and river. Little ferry every half hour from Afurada across to Foz and northern side of river. Car is only necessary if you want more flexibility or want to explore further afield.
