The location is a central point between Vilamoura and Amancil and is just 1.5 kilometres from the beach. Accessibility
The apartment is located on the first floor. However there are 6 steps up to the apartment level from the main door..
Outside
The apartment has three balconies with furniture. The swimming pool is one of the largest in Algarve, 800m2. It is shared but exclusively for holiday makers and residents of Al-Sakia Village. A children's pool is also in the large swimming pool area. There are two tennis courts free to use and a gymnasium. There is a bar and Italian restaurant on-site.
Coast/Beach
The beaches are wide, clean and well looked after. Much quieter is Trafal beach, between Vilamoura and Vale do Lobo. All these are of golden sands, clean and within approx. 5 mins by car. The beautiful Falesia beach (west of Vilamoura) is not much further away.
Golf
The Algarve is a golfer's paradise boasting 25+ championship courses. Vila Sol is the nearest one from the apartment. Some 12 golf courses are within 10km distance and the 5 courses in Vilamoura (Pinhal, Laguna, The Old Course, Millennium and Victoria) are all within a 5/10 min drive, as are those at Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago.
Travel
Faro airport is approximately 2.5 - 3 hours flying time from UK. Scheduled flights are available all year round. Regular flights are available from Manchester, Luton, Stansted, Gatwick, Heathrow, Glasgow and other airports.
The apartment is 20 miutes drive from the airport. A bus stop is 500 meters from the apartment and services run between Faro and Albufeira, stopping, amongst others, in Almancil and Vilamoura. Car hire is recommended but not essential as taxi's are reasonably cheap.

'On the 25th Sept 2005 we all arrived at Al-Sakia Village ,the apt was lovely, really spacious, everything you needed was there, spotless and comfortable. The pool area was great, 2 pools, our small grandson loved the small pool and the swings and slides. The gardens were lovely and well kept. 'We had 10 great days at the apartment. It is so well appointed and we felt really relaxed being there. The pool and bar are just a short walk away and are beautifully kept. We found numerous good restaurants and bars locally and at the Marina - we had to play tennis at the courts near the pool to keep our weight down!! The weather was superb and so was the holiday.'
