Changeover day
Normally arrival is after 3pm, we ask that you vacate the property by 10am. Please make any late departure or early arrival requests to us. Flexible with changeover days, if adjacent bookings allow. Short stays are possible.

Notes on accommodation
Air conditioning is installed with thermostats and can also be used for heating. All of our guests receive free membership of the 5 star Tennis Academy, where you may have unlimited use of the swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, discounted tennis court hire and coaching and restaurants. We no longer charge for the hire of a High Chair and Cot. These are in excellent condition and we just ask you maintain them for the use of others. You will need your own cot bedding. The Apartment is ideally situated between the Tennis academy and Barringtons on the Rua Das Acacias.
Outside
The front of the Apartment overlooks gardens with Mature Pine Trees, Palms, Oleandar and Bougainvillias. View at the front also along the Rua da Acacias towards the new Royal Golf Villas and Apartments.
The rear looks on to the lawned gardens lined with Palms and Oleandars. The top sun terrace displays the ocean in the distance and woodland in the foreground.
A very tranquil paradise. A walk (or run) to the beach within this amazing location is a truly enjoyable experience. Within minutes you will realise why this is Europe's finest resort.
Coast/Beach
The beaches are a 2 mins drive away or a 10 mins walk. You have a choice of the Maria's Beach (dunas durados) or the Vale do Lobo Praca. Maria's is quieter with sun loungers and 1 restaurant along the beach. The Praca is livelier with sun loungers and whole variety of restaurants to cater for all your gastronomic requirements. The Praca also offers live entertainment in peak season. Crazy Golf and the Dona Filipa Childrens Club is adjacent to the beach.
Golf
Vale do Lobo has 2 championship golf courses, The Royal and The Ocean. Both courses offer a true test to any golfer, and feature some breathtaking views of the beach and Algarve coast. The Royal course features the famous 16th hole on the cliffs next to the beach.
The Ocean course offers some stunning views right next to the sea and is perhaps better suited for medium to high handicap golfers.
Golf can be booked at the Vale do Lobo golf reception.
Travel
Faro Airport is a 15-20 minute drive away. Car hire is recommended and we are happy to book a car for you with discounted rates with a company we use ourselves. They meet you at the airport and you pick your car up in the car park outside!

The tennis academy is also on the doorstep of the apartment, which offers private and group coaching for all ages and levels of ability.
Booking notes
Air-Conditioning / Heating is optional and is charged at 10GBP per night. A non-refundable 25% deposit required to secure booking, with final payment due 6 weeks prior to your holiday. A £300 refundable damage deposit is required. Prices include weekly maid service with all bedlinen and towels provided. We do not provide beach towels. Cots and highchair available free of charge. Car hire quotes also available at very competitive rates. A food welcome pack can be arranged at a small charge.

The area is safe, beautiful, clean and has people who haven't forgotten the normal kind gestures of life.
The apartment is so roomy and fills up with natural light and gives a sense of space and Portugueseness! You are not simply in a holiday home anywhere you are in Apartment Sakira which is also our home and somewhere we love dearly.
The amazing views from the top terrace to include the sea are stunning as well as the fact that this is in a unique position to all the other apartments on Ruas das Acacias as it is south facing totally!
