Our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom air-conditioned apartments are located in upmarket Oasis Parque – a newly developed, purpose built community of privately owned villas and apartments with first class leisure facilities, including a new heated indoor pool complex, several outdoor pools, tennis courts and cafe, reserved exclusively for residents. Oasis Parque is situated on the western outskirts of Portimao and just a few minutes drive from the gorgeous beaches of Praia da Rocha and Alvor. The apartment is on the first floor and has balcony views over the main pool.

Completed in 2004, the apartment is air-conditioned and fully equipped to an extremely high standard. The apartment is located on the first floor and is accessed by either key or entryphone.
Allocated parking is adjacent to the property. There are balconies to the front and rear and patio furniture is provided for guests' use. The back balcony (accessed from the lounge/diner) overlooks the main pool and tennis courts - great for keeping an eye on the kids!
The kitchen has a gas/electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The large lounge is comfortably furnished to a high standard with leather suites and a dining table that can seat 6.
There are two bedrooms; a double master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and a twin bedroom. There is a separate shower room and toilet.

Notes on accommodation
The apartments are extremely spacious and well equipped. The air-conditioning is not only beneficial during the summer months but also has a heating capability for the cooler evenings during the off-season. There is a television with the free to air English digital channels and a PS/2 for games, CDs and DVDs. There is a selection of games, books, DVDs and CDs for guests use.

Outside
The Oasis Parque leisure complex is a major selling feature. It is reserved exclusively for guest and residents and is open from 9am to 8pm, accessible only by swipe card, so it is very secure for children. The complex is maintained to an extremely high standard with landscaped gardens. There is an 18 metre indoor pool complete with a jacuzzi, showers and changing facilities. There is a large outdoor pool with extensive sunlungers available for guests private use. There is a toddlers pool and a separate babies pool. There are two good standard tennis courts. There is a cafe providing high quality snackes, lunches and beverages.

Coast/Beach
There are over 100 beaches along the Algarve and they are all sandy! Here are some of our favourites - Praia da Rocha, Caneiros Praia, Praia do Benigil, Praia do Carnavial, Praia de Beliche.

Penina - 5 mins.
Morgado/Alamos - 10 mins.
Vale da Pinta - 15 mins.
Palmares - 15 mins.
Boavista - 15 mins (discounts available).

Travel
Oasis Parque is a 5 minute drive from junction 4 of the new A22 motorway which can be picked up within 10 minutes of leaving Faro Airport.

Alvor - 2 Miles.
Portimao - 1 Mile.
Restaurants/Bars - walkable.
Supermarkets - walkable.
Beaches - Various, reachable in 5 minute drive.

Further details
The Algarve coastline stretches from the Spanish border to Sagres – the most south westerly point of Europe. There are plenty of towns and beaches to explore. We would recommend - a boat trip from Lagos to explore the caves, a visit to the medieval town and spa of Monchique, a drive west along the dramatic coastline to Cape St Vincent, a Chicken Piri-Piri dinner in Guia. If you are feeling slightly more adventurous then Lisbon is only a 2 hour drive.
Try zoo marine for dolphin and sea lion shows and fairground rides. Krazy World combines a strange mixture of crazy golf, petting zoo and small fairground rides – great fun! For the energetic there are 2 large water parks within a 20 minute drive.

'The apartment was fantastic, we can’t fault it. We loved the pool and daily tennis game. The children enjoyed making new friends. We enjoyed Cape St. Vincent, lovely jewellery stall and beach and burger restaurant (1st from the end). We had a great day out at Krazyworld, enjoyed the boat trip from Lagos. The sand sculptures at the fiesa were spectacular. Loved Alvor and ate in lots of lovely restaurants our favourite was the terrace at Vagabonds. Such a great holiday we have already booked for next year.'
