Our villa is in the perfect spot on this small, top-quality development. Completed in 2007, the 11 properties share a large (38’ x 18’) pool. In its corner location, our villa enjoys an enviable, totally private patio area which catches the sun all day as well as having a fully equipped barbeque area. We are only minutes away from the safe, sandy beaches of Salir do Porto and Sao Martinho do Porto. For the more energetic, try Foz do Arelho for watersports and surfing, Praia De’l Rey for its golf course, and Nazare for its beach, vibrant night life and aqua park. The area has a rich heritage and there are many fascinating places nearby to visit; the walled, medieval town of Obidos; the World Heritage Monastery at Alcobaca; the capital city of Lisbon. In the evening, there’s a large choice of restaurants in the area, many serving the seafood caught that day.

Changeover day is Saturday, but there may be some flexibility. Please ask.

The property will be cleaned and linen changed weekly with an interval clean for two week bookings. Towels and linen provided, but not for pool or beach use. |
Notes on accommodation
This property benefits from gas central heating should the need arise. There is a strict non-smoking policy within the villa. A welcome pack is included with the rental of the villa. If you have any further requirements please do not hesitate to ask and we will do our best to accommodate you.

There are a handful of steps leading to the front door.
Outside
A large patio area surrounds the back and side of the villa with plenty of good quality garden furniture and sun-beds. This allows totally private sun bathing as it is not overlooked. This is the only villa on the development to benefit from this private area. There is also a Portuguese brick-built barbecue and a garden table with 6 chairs, ideal for alfresco dining. There are balconies to the lounge and all three bedrooms. The large swimming pool (38’ x 18’), sun terrace and children’s playground are for sole use of the guests staying in this closed development.
Coast/Beach
The beach at Salir do Porto(3 minutes) is at the foot of the village with an incredible sand dune (50 metres high) – great fun for children. A boardwalk takes you to Sao Martinho do Porto’s beach voted as one of the top 10 beaches to visit in Portugal by the AA Essential Guide. This sheltered bay makes it one of the warmest and safest places to swim on the coast and ideal for families. Obidos Lagoon with its water sports, beach bars and restaurants is less than 10 minutes away by car.
Golf
This area of Portugal has a number of spectacular championship golf courses within a 20-30 minute drive. The highly acclaimed Praia D’el Rey golf course has just been awarded European Golf Resort of the year in 2007. Other Golf courses nearby are the Golden Eagle near Santarem and Campo Real at Torres Vedros.

For the energetic, there are many outdoor activities to be enjoyed in this area; sailing, surfing, canoeing, mountain biking, golf, walking, parapente, horse riding, boat trips and many more! Lisbon itself is a wonderful cosmopolitan city to visit with its castle, major retail shopping, restaurants and aquarium.
Travel
Lisbon airport (BMI Baby, Easyjet, TAP, BA) is approximately 1 hour away and Porto airport (Ryanair) is about a two and a half hour drive. We recommend hiring a car to explore and fully enjoy all the amenities. Ask us for details.

Obidos is 20 minutes away and Alcobaca is a 30 minute drive. Lisbon is approximately 1 hour away.

The house is extremely well equipped with a selection of games, books and DVDs and you will find the kitchen cupboards are well stocked with basics. A complimentary welcome pack will be placed in the villa for your arrival. You will also find a selection of maps, a Portuguese dictionary and phrase book as well as comprehensive information about local amenities and activities.
