Coast/Beach
The sheltered bay makes Sao Martinho do Porto one of the warmest places to swim on the Silver Coast. It has been voted in the AA Essential Guide as one of the top 10 beaches to visit in Portugal with its narrow sea access and sands sloping down into clam, shallow water making it ideal for families.

Golf
Located 45 minutes drive from the prestigious Praia D'el Rey golf course, voted 13th in Europe. There are several other golf destinations within a similar driving time from the resort.

Travel
1 hour easy drive up the new A8 motorway from Lisbon Airport. Hire car is recommended to explore the many delightful beaches and towns of the West Coast of Portugal.
Low cost airlines fly direct to Lisbon. Monarch-direct from Gatwick. Easyjet-Stansted and Luton. Thomson-direct from Manchester. BMI Baby direct from Birmingham.

Distances
Obidos, heritage, walled medieval town 20 mins drive.
Caldas da Rhaina main shopping centre 15 minutes drive (or occasional trains).
Foz do Arelho and Obidos lagoon 10 minutes drive.
Alcobaca - Large, beautiful 14th Century church 25 minutes drive. Leira-Royal castle 45 minutes drive. Nazare water sports, wind surfing, body boarding 20 minutes drive.
Cosmopolitan Lisbon with designer shopping 1 hours drive.

Further details
There are restaurants, supermarkets and banks within easy walking distance of the property. There are also cash points in the central town area (10 minutes walk).

There are extensive bank facilities and a large Hyper Market ten minutes drive away at Caldas da Raina.
