Overall, the area offers an extensive choice of beaches, historical towns and national park, appealing to visitors of all ages and interests. Notes on accommodation
The private roof terrace, balconies and patio provide ideal outdoor areas for socialising or relaxation in the sun. A selection of board games, toys andbooks is available. Gas central heating throughout and traditional Portuguese wood burning fireplace in the living/dining room, allow this property to be very comfortable during the winter months.

Accessibility
The townhouse has a central staircase accessing all floors. The kitchen, living/dining room (with sofa bed) is on the ground floor. The three bedrooms are on the first floor, with the second floor landing leading to the roof terrace.

Outside
Shared 12 metre swimming pool for the 7 houses (rarely fully occupied) within the gated community, with shower, sun loungers and landscaped garden. Private patio with outdoor furniture looking onto pool. Peaceful, sunny roof terrace with sea and country views.

Coast/Beach
The local beach, Praia da Areia Branca (5 mins easy walk), is a long, sweeping sandy beach suitable for bathing and surfing. Idyllic sheltered and peaceful coves can be found just minutes walk or drive along the coast. Excellent surf beaches both north and south of the area, including the famous 'Supertubos' and Baleal near Peniche (10 mins drive).

Golf
There are 3 golf courses within a 20km radius, including Atlantico (9 hole), Termas do Vimeiro (18 hole) and the award-winning Praia del Rey (18 hole) championship course.

Travel
Lisbon International Airport (LIS) is only 45-50 minutes drive away. Flights available from British Airways, TAP, Easyjet, BMIBaby, Monarch and Ryanair.
Although travel by bus to Lourinha is possible (1 hour), a hire car is recommended for convenience.

Distances
The closest larger town is Lourinha, 5km away (5 minutes by car). The larger holiday town and fishing port of Peniche is 10 mins drive. The delightful medieval walled town of Obidos is 15 mins drive and a perfect day trip! Capital city Lisbon, Leira and the ancient spa town of Caldas da Reina are all within a short drive (30-50 mins) and make for easy cultural days out for sightseeing, shopping and/or eating. The house is a great base for those wishing to see and explore the region.

Further details
There are 2 all-weather tennis courts, available for public use, next to the house along with the colourful children's playground. There is also mini-golf available in the village and two local surf schools. A go-kart track is a short drive away. Lots of local shops and markets mean that you don't have to leave the village, and there are all the variety of amenities you'd want and need a short-drive away in neighbouring towns.

A 25% deposit is required with the booking, balance payable 6 weeks before arrival.
A refundable security deposit of 250 euros is also payable with the balance.
A mid-stay cleaning charge of €150 may apply for rentals longer than 1 week.
