Coast/Beach
The nearest beach to the apartment is the award winning Blue Flag "Falesia beach" known as the longest golden sandy beach in the Algarve. It is well served by a great choice of restaurants featuring the local freshly caught fish and seafood as well as a large supply of parasols and sun beds.
Golf
Vilamoura is also known as the Golfers Paradise. There are six International 18 Hole Golf Courses and all very close to the apartment. Millennium Golf - Mostly open terrain with fairways wending their way through pine trees. Laguna Golf - set around a lake. Victoria Golf - The longest 18 Hole golf course in Portugal and where the World Championships (eg. Masters) take place. Old Course - Set amonst pine trees. Pinhal Golf - Set back from the main Falesia and Marina beach. Golf Academy - is located close to the apartment and provides tuition for those who want to brush up their skills.
Travel
Faro airport is 24km. A meet and greet private transfer service is available at an extra cost. Use of car is recommended but not essential. Taxis are at easy reach with call at a low cost (ca 3 euros to the centre - Marina area).
Distances
Vilamoura centre with its beautiful Marina is about 3km from the apartment. Quarteira - the closest town with its weekly market (wednesdays), the fish, fruits & vegetable market (daily) and its long beach front promenade is just 5km from the apartment. Loulé - is ca 11km with its known market on saturdays. Albufeira - ca 15km with its many bars and restaurants. 'Aqua Show' Water Park just outside Quarteira. 'Zoomarine' in Guia (20 min by car) where you can enjoy a wonderful day.
