Balaia Golf Village is only 30 mins drive away from Faro airport. 'Balaia ' is an oasis of peace, tranquility and pleasurable activities all in one delightful village. The low rise apartments/villas with purple and red bourgainvillea against a backdrop of pine and cork trees in beautiful semi-tropical gardens. Golden beaches, water sports are a short stroll (500m) away. Balaia's own 9 hole manicured golf course is within the village and 8 other championship courses are a 20 min drive away. The 'A Varanda' and 'Le Club' bars and restaurants in the village offer great food and theme evenings. Albufeira, with it's lively nightlife and many restaurants is a 10 minute walk away and Vilamoura Marina, again with numerous bars and restaurants is a short taxi ride away. There is also a mini market, shop within the village.

Accessibility
The apartment is up one small flight of stairs but once around the village disabled access is excellent.
Outside
The apartment has three large sun terraces with table, chairs, sunlounges and cushions, parasol etc. There are six pools (two heated) in the village with three being within 100 yards. Our apartment also looks out over the luxurious gardens and tennis courts. The village has two restaurants, pool bars, kids club,kids play area, golf course, croquet, health club with heated pool, jacuzzi, steam room and gym. A shopping terrace with mini market, newsagents, hairdresser and beautician. Balaia Golf Village is situated in a fabulous location from where you can explore many stunning beaches and fishing villages.
Coast/Beach
The local Marie-Luisa and Santa Eulalia beaches are close by, approx 5-10 minute walk. The golden sandy beach of Santa Eulalia is within easy walking distance. Olhos d'Agua, a traditional fishing village where fishermen still tend their nets is close by. There is a tremendous cliff and beach walk all the way to Vilamoura.
Golf
Balaia has its own 9 hole golf course, driving range, putting area, lessons, hire of clubs etc. with an excellant clubhouse bar and restaurant. Some of the finest championship golf courses are within a 10/20 minute drive. Vale De Lobo, Vilamoura, Quinta Da Lago, Pine Cliffs etc.
Special interest holidays
A whole range of excursions and leisure activities can be booked including water parks, Zoomarine, scuba diving, fishing, sailing, horse riding, bicycle/moped hire and much more. A whole range of bars, shops, restaurants, supermarkets on our doorstep.
Travel
Faro airport is 35 km westand is approx 30 mins away. Transfers to and from the airport can be booked. A shuttle bus from reception goes to Albufeira and Vilamoura. Local bus stops outside the main Balai entrance serving local areas. Car hire is also avialable. Taxis can be ordered from reception.
Distances
Albufiera with its busy nightlife is only 5mins drive, (or 4 euros by taxi). Soak up the atmosphere in the Old Town in one of the numerous bars and restaurants. There are numerous beautiful villages and fishing communities, boat trips, sailing and watersports. Vilamoura Marina is also a place to visit for bars and restaurants. If you prefer, you can hire a car from Balaia reception and explore the many fabulous beaches and coves dotted along the stunning coastline.
Further details
There is a 24 hr reception and security service. Safety deposit boxes can be hired. By the main entrance to Balaia reception is a mini market, newsagents and other shops, restaraunts are within easy walking distance. The Algarve shopping mall is just 10 minutes drive away offering fabulous boutiques, gift shops, pharmicies, banks etc. All along the coastline there are numerous places to visit including Lagos, a real taste of Portugal life. To the west you can visit Tavira, where you can even cross the river into Spain (takes about 5 mins, 5 euro) have a drink and then pop back to Portugal!

A 25% deposit payable on booking, the balance due by 8 weeks before occupation. Late booking discount of 10% but full payment is required upon booking. Cancellation charges (before occupation due). More than 8 weeks 50% of rate. 4 to 8 weeks 50% of full rate, 2 t0 4 weeks 25% of rate. Less than 2 weeks, no refund.
