The whole property is available to rent between June and August, and between September and May, the 2 bedroom cottage is available (with exclusive use of the pool).

Notes on accommodation
There is a separate laundry/utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and clothes airer. All towels (including beach towels) are provided. The owners are also happy to provide travel cot, pram/buggy, steriliser, babygym & highchair on request.
Accessibility
Both properties are single storey. There are some steps from the car parking area to the terrace of the quinta, and the odd step between rooms inside the quinta.
Outside
The properties are set in 9 acres of land, allowing complete seclusion from the outside world if required. The gardens are well-established and mature with a variety of palms, fruit trees as well as various herbs which guests are very welcome to help themselves to. There is a 12m x 5m swimming pool with Roman steps adjacent to the cottage. There are 6 sun-loungers and umbrellas, as well as a built in covered table with 6 chairs at the opposite end to the cottage. There are 2 built-in Beefeater gas barbeques. One is at the end of the terrace by the main Quinta and is set up next to a built-in table; the other is adjacent to the pool and cottage. There is wireless internet access and Sky TV in the Quinta and freeview in the cottage.
Coast/Beach
15 minutes by car to the vast and popular beaches at Alvor. Other popular beaches at Meia Praia, Praia do Rocha, Carvoeiro and the beaches near Ferragudo are all within 30 minutes. For the more adventurous, there are a host of less well known beaches and coves west of Lagos and the surfing beaches on the Atlantic coast easily reachable within 1 hour.
Golf
Meridien Penina and its 3 courses are less than 10 minutes in the car. Morgado 15 minutes, Alto 15 minutes, ramacho/Pinta 20 minutes, Palmares 20 minutes. There is also a 9 hole par 3 course at Val de Milho around 25 minutes away.
Travel
Faro Airport is around 55km and takes just under 1 hour in the car. Due to the rural location of the property, a car is essential.

Portimao 12km, Alvor 19km, Lagos 22km, Caldas de Monchique 14km, Monchique 17km, Silves 20km, Carvoeiro 25km.
Further details
Senhora do Verde has a small village shop for essentials but the Portimao Retail Park with supermarket and cashpoints is only 8km away.
The local bar and restaurant in Senhora do Verde is popular and busy (it also provides a take away service - the chicken piri-piri is a favourite!). Portimao and Alvor have an abundance of restaurants and night spots. The owners can provide a well-researched list of restaurants around the Algarve!
In addition to the beaches and fishing villages along the coast, places of interest include the castle at Silves, the spa-village of Caldas de Monchique, and the Marina and picturesque streets of Lagos.
