Monte da Balaia is a new low rise apartment complex situated near Albufeira, approximately 25 mins drive from Faro airport, taxi transfers and car hire easily arranged. Apartment AA is situated on the 2nd floor overlooking surrounding countryside. The apartments are surrounded by ample communal grounds, gardens and lawned areas which slope down to the main pool and children's pool. There is direct access from the gardens to the tennis courts. There is ample car parking including a designated underground car parking space. There is a good selection of family bars and restaurants less than 5 mins walk away. Large well stocked supermarket only 10 mins walk away. Nearest beach is the lovely Marie Luisa beach which is approx 10 mins walk and a further 10 mins walk will take you to the beaches Olhos d'Agua or Santa Eulalia.

Praia da Oura, Falasaia, Albufeira, San Raphael all within a 10 minute drive with the first being able to be reached by local bus.

Faro airport approx 25 minute drive. Directions can be provided if required. Reasonably priced car hire easily booked on the internet, at a local travel agents or by phone. Taxis can be booked, email/contact details can be provided if required - cost approx 20 euros - £25 for up to 4 people and 35 - 45 euros for up to 8 people. Car not essential as apartment near main road and bus routes. Taxis also easily bookable if required.
Distances
Olhos d'Agua, bars, shops restaurants and sandy beach, 15 minutes walk or 5 minute drive. Centre of Albufeira 5 - 10 minute drive - see Albufeira new town and the old town. excursions bookable locally for Algarve water parks and zoo, Algarve shopping, Faro and Portimao shopping, Quateira and Loule markets, the historic town of Silves and day trips to Gibralter. All easily reached by car and other than Gibraltar within about an hour's drive or less.
Further details
Portugal/Algarve is 2 and half hours or less from any UK airport and reasonable priced flights are available from many airlines including Easyjet, BMIbaby and Flybe. All are easily bookable on the internet or at local travel agents. The journey from the airport to the apartment is relatively straightforward. The Portuguese are warm, friendly people and the local bars and restaurants always provide a warm welcome and good service. There are several large supermarkets in Albufeira easily reached by car, bus or taxi. Banks and Bureau de Change available in Albufeira/Montechoro.
Booking notes
50% of rental fee payable as deposit with booking confirmed once deposit paid/received. Deposit not refundable if booking is cancelled with less than 8 weeks notice prior to booking date/first night booked. Rental prices in sterling with price effective from the month the first night is booked in. Balance payble 6 weeks before booking date first night booked. £100 deposit against breakages also required, promptly refunded providing there are no breakages as confirmed by our representative.
