There is ample parking space to the front of the building where you will also find a telephone stand. The beach can be reached by walking and takes about 35 minutes, or 3-5 minutes by car. The Marina is a 30 minute stroll or 5 minutes in a car. 200 meters away is a supermarket, and a 8 minute walk will take you to another supermarket, some bars, a couple of restaurants, English hairdresser, and an agent who can book golf tee times and excursions. The complex is surrounded by golf courses, spoilt for choice. The journey time from Faro airport is about 30 minutes. The local bus stops nearby, going to Faro and Albufeira. There is also a tourist road train that runs regularly to the beach and Marina. Closeby are tennis courts, lawn bowls, and mini golf. Aqua parks are not too far away. Vilamoura has a Casino with a restaurant and live shows. In the very busy Marina you will find shops, restaurants and bars that stay open until late.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Arrival after 3pm and departure 10am.

Accommodation
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 double bed.
Bedroom 2 double bed.
Bedroom 3 twin (2 singles).
Bathrooms: En-suite shower room to bedroom 1 with shower, wc, basin.

Kitchen: Cooker, dual fuel hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, cutlery and crockery for 6, plus spares and a generous supply of pots and pans etc. The modern open plan kitchen has everything you may need for a super stay.
Utility Room: Washing machine, dryer, ironing board, iron, clothes airer, cool box and chairs for the beach.
Living Rooms: Lounge and diner seat 6, has A/C doors leading to a small balcony. Cable and Sky freeview are available on our 42"plasma screen offering BBC and ITV. A DVD/VHS player and mini hi-fi complete the package. Also available are a selection of DVDs and videos.
Other: All bedrooms have pedestal fans, clock radio alarms and hairdryers. In the double ensuite you will find a safe. We also have available a cot, highchair and stair gate.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and linen are included, there is a mid week clean of the kitchen and shower rooms when the towels will be changed. For those staying 2 weeks there will be a full clean and change of linen at the end of the first week. Bring your own beach towels.

Notes on accommodation
Air conditioning is provided in the lounge/diner only. All bedrooms have pedestal fans. For the cooler nights early and late in the year there are oilfilled radiators. Toiletries are provided in the shower rooms on arrival, and a small welcome pack will be provided and left in the kitchen. Cleaning and dishwasher materials will be found in the cupboard under the kitchen sink.

Accessibility
Property not suitable for wheelchairs etc as there are steps up to the apartment and stairs within it.

Outside
The apartment has a small terrace and patio, a portable BBQ is outside the kitchen door on the patio, there are tables and chairs on both. The pool which is shared has plenty of space and pretty gardens. Access to the pool is via a gate of which you will have a key, there are plenty of loungers (no charge for these) and plenty of trees to sit under out of the midday sun. The pool we have been told is never crowded.

Coast/Beach
Falesia beach stretches for miles, lovely wide sandy areas, umbrellas and loungers can be hired. A lifeguard is on duty. There are a few beach bars/restaurants, toilets and showering facilities and plenty of parking spaces, either paid or free. The beach is a 35 minute walk or 5 minute drive from the apartment. The Marina is a 30 minute walk through gardens that separate the dual carriageway, benches situated along the route in case you fancy a rest. By car will take about 5 minutes.

Golf
There are 5 courses to choose from in Vilamoura, all within minutes of the apartment. Vila Sol is close by and of course Quinta Da Lago and Vale de Lobo a little further afield is about 20/25 minutes car journey.

Travel
The local airport is Faro, approximately 25km. The taxi fare is about 30 euros. Car hire is not essential. Airlines flying from the UK to Faro are to name a few Flymonarch.com Easyjet Ryanair Bmi baby. For those of you who would like to book a hire car I recommend Zitauto rent a car. They are a Quarteira company that I have been using for well over 20 years. Zitauto@mail.telepac.pt Tel.no. 00351 289 315559. Car is picked up at the airport and left there.

Further details
Worth visiting is the old market town of Loule and the old town of Faro. Most people like to visit Albufeira as well. You can go deep sea fishing from Vilamoura Marina. There are also numerous pleasure cruises to choose from, It is possible to walk to Quarteira along the beach and past the fishing boat harbour. In Quarteira you will find a lovely promenade, nice for an evening stroll, it has a long beach, plenty of restaurants, shops and of course the daily fish and vegetable market, mornings only. On Wednesday mornings there is a gypsy market on the main dual carriageway which is definitely worth a visit. Every morning there is a fish and vegetable market near the car park and the fishing boat area.

Booking notes
A 25% deposit will be required on booking, the balance to be paid 6 weeks before departure. A damage bond of £200 will also be required to be paid with the balance. Returned after receipt of the keys and the OK from the agent. Once a booking has been agreed on, I would expect to receive the booking form and deposit within 3 days, or full amount if the booking is within 6 weeks. I will then send a receipt through the post and update the availability calendar.
