This villa is called Arvores Altas ('Tall Trees'), due to its front garden of over 100 tall pine trees. It is a luxury villa, with electric private gates and driveway, secure location, alarm, 4 garages, table tennis, pool table, trampoline and wireless internet broadband access. Within the rental price there is access to a variety of mountain bikes with locks. The heated swimming pool is 40 feet long, with a summer cover. There is also a cover for winter use. Nadadouro is a quiet village with local shops, cafes and restaurants, and is close to the stunning beach of Foz Do Arelho, walking distance to Obidos lagoon. From Lisbon airport, the villa is located approximately 50mins drive north, along the Silver Coast. The villa is 20mins drive to 2 golf courses (Golden Eagle and Praia d'el Rey), 10 mins from spa town of Caldas Da Rainha, 20 mins from go-karting at Bombarral. Close to historic towns of Alcobaca, Caldas da Rainha and Fatima. Only 10 mins drive to the castle town of Obidos.

Changeover day
The rental is Saturday to Saturday (flexible out of season). The villa has to be vacated by 10am, and can be accessed after 4pm on the day of your arrival.

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linen provided, including pool towels. Beach towels need to be provided by clients. Property is cleaned every week, and for extra can be cleaned twice a week. Linen changed weekly, and for extra, changed twice weekly. |
Notes on accommodation
There is central heating for the winter months, and a real fire for lounge/dining room and library heating. 2 hairdryers are available for guests. There are 2 travel cots and high chairs available for guests. In the library there are a variety of books to read and games to play. A welcome pack will be sent to you on completion of booking, with instructions for the house.
Children should be supervised, as there is a swimming pool with no guard rails, a large trampoline and swings. Also clients should supervise children around the stairs to the library and pool table.
The house comes with 8Mb Broadband internet access, and can either be accessed through cat 5 or through a wireless connection. The grounds themsleves are secure, with electric security gates and entry phone. There is a remote control to the house to activate the garages and electric front gates.

Accessibility
The house is all on one level, except the lounge and bedroom 2 which are 3 steps down, and the library, which has a staircase to it. For disabled access, or people with poor mobility, the only area of the house which could be a problem to access would be the library and pool table.
Outside
The villa is situated in 1 acre of pine forest. 13 steps lead up the embankment to the terrace, a barbeque, and heated swimming pool. 12x6m (approx 40x20 feet). Please note the pool is heated on request in the cooler months (at £75 per week), and heating is not needed in the summer months (July/August), as there is a summer cover. There is a winter cover(dome) to use as an indoor pool. Around the pool are 6 sun loungers with cushions. On the split level terrace, there are two large glass tables with 8 chairs and other garden loungers. There is a large 12 foot trampoline at the entrance to the front garden. There is a double swing at the back of the garden. There are children's and adult mountain bikes for use, with some bike helmets. The bikes have locks and keys/codes. In the top garages, there is the fold away table tennis table. A 4-player badminton set, a croquet set and large dominos sets are also available for use. There are 2 two-man tents for use for nights out under the stars.
Coast/Beach
The expansive, quiet beach of Foz Do Arelho is a 10min cycle ride, 2min car drive or, for the brave, a 30min walk. The adjacent lagoon is ideal for kite/wind-surfing, and fishing. The picturesque bay of Sao Martinho do Porto, is a 10minute drive, and is ideal for swimming. There is also an aqua park near Nazare, further north.
Golf
There are 2 top of the range golf course, which are both within a 20 mins drive from the villa. The first is the world renowned Praia d'el Rey, which is situated along the coast just south of the villa. The other golf course is of a very high standard, called Golden Eagle, situated more inland, near Rio Maior. Directions can be given on request to guests.
Special interest holidays
No stags/hens. We are able to put you in touch with a trustworthy Portuguese gentlemen, who can arrange activities such as football, tennis, carting, paintballing etc.
Travel
The nearest airports are Lisbon (50min drive), and Porto (2.5 hrs drive). Taxis can be arranged for pick up and drop off if necessary, but to enjoy the area, it is best to rent a car. There are regular buses into Lisbon, Foz do Arelho and Caldas Da Rainha.
