The villa is equipped with air conditioning/heater units in each room. It is situated on the side of a hill set on 3 levels with patio areas/balconies on each level. There are numerous outside steps so that this property is not suitable for the disabled or very young children.
The owners will not be responsible for any accident that occurs on the property. There is a swimming pool and Jacuzzi so it is the tenant's responsibility to care for children at all times.

This area is still one of Portugal’s hidden secrets, from the tranquility of it’s sheltered southern beaches and harbours, to the wilder more rugged west coast with it’s spectacular surf. It boasts over 3000 hours of sunshine each year. The countryside consists of rolling landscapes, picturesque hamlets and fishing villages, as well as towns steeped in maritime heritage. Unlike the East, this region is delightfully unspoilt and untouched by commercialization.

Special interest holidays
Within the golf club, there is a "cordon bleu" restaurant and spike bar overlooking the 18th hole. Within a short drive there are numerous quality restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.
Mountain Biking, Scuba, Watersports, Horse Riding and Boat Cruises can either be arranged through Reception or further information can be provided. Numerous scenic walks are available in the vicinity. Several quiet, sandy beaches are accessible within a short drive. Excellent surfing beaches on the west coast are only 10 - 15 minutes drive from the resort.

Travel
Parque da Floresta is approx 80km west from Faro on the motorway and is very easy to find. Numerous airlines fly to Faro and hire cars are available at the airport. Please see the website for airline and carhire links as well as directions.

Distances
Lagos is the nearby town with its culture and history dating back to Roman times. It was from here in 1514 that Prince Henry the Navigator launched his fleet to seize Ceuta in Morocco setting the stage for Portugal's age of discovery. The town is a maze of cobbled streets with pavement restaurants, cafés and bars.
To the west is the port of Sagres with its dramatic headland –Cape St Vincent which is the most south westerly point of Europe.

Change-over day is flexible and can be negotiated with the owner. Please e-mail the owners to reserve the villa at bookings@villadoc.co.uk Once the availability has been checked, the owner will e-mail back the address to which the deposit should be sent.
Bookings are subject to receipt of 25% of the full cost and a confirmatory e-mail from the owners. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure. Please send a cheque made out in £’s sterling to the owner’s address or request bank details for a BACS transfer. A contract will be in force once the deposit has been banked. We reserve the right to refuse a booking. Late payment will result in cancellation of the booking and loss of the deposit paid. Clients are responsible for their own electricity and food packs. Please settle up the account at the Reception when you arrive (please note that heating the pool and Jacuzzi can be expensive in cooler weather). The maids will visit twice during the week and then clean on departure. This service is included in the rental cost. Liabilities
The owners cannot accept any liability for circumstances arising out of their control, amounting to ‘force majeure’. This includes war or threat of war, industrial action, terrorist activities, riot, civil war, avian flu (or the threat of such), weather, earthquake, failure of electric, gas or water supply, noise, etc.
The owners will not be responsible for any accident that occurs on the property. This villa is on 3 levels and there are numerous steps and ornamental walls. There is a swimming pool and Jacuzzi so it is the tenant's responsibility to care for children at all times.
Breakage Deposit:
You will be required to leave a breakage deposit of 250 euros at the Reception on arrival – this can be paid by credit card and will be fully refunded once the villa has been checked after your departure. Please inform the office of any breakage or malfunction so that this can be rectified by the maintenance team.

Booking notes
Cancellations:
0 - 14 days before departure – 100% payable.
15 – 28 days before departure – 75% payable.
29 – 42 days before departure – 50% payable.
43 days onwards – loss of deposit i.e 25%.
Please notify the owners of the cancellation in writing and enclose the appropriate cheque for any balance due.
Terms.
The Villa is insured for 3rd party liability but the tenants are expected to take out full holiday insurance including medical cover.
