Travel
Faro airport is 15 minutes drive.
Car hire is recommended.

Distances
Seville and Lisbon are approximately 2 hours drive and the pretty seaside town of Tavira is about about half an hour away.

Further details
The area is well-served by restaurants, shops, supermarkets and banking facilities and the Formosa nature reserve is close-by. The Michelin starred restaurants and shopping facilities of Bouganvillea plaza and Vale do Lobo are 5 minutes by car as is Quinta Shopping and the market towns of Loule and Almancil. Almancil is a very nice little town 5 minutes drive away, with shops, supermarkets, restaurants, and the lovely San Lourenco church. On the way to Almancil you will find Charlottes bakery which is definitely worth a visit.
Loule is a large town approximately 15 minutes away with lots of shopping and places of interest, as is Faro near the airport with its squares, churches, storks nests and orange trees, as well as its immense edge of town shopping centre. Additional local activities include 2 waterslide parks, go-karting, horse-riding, and the magnificent Zoomarine is around a 30-minute drive and is a wonderful day out for all the family.
