Casa Luna gives you the best of both worlds by being located in the pretty unspoilt fishing village of Ferragudo within easy reach of the larger towns. Approx 10 minutes by car to Portimao, a taxi would cost around 8 euros, Carvoeiro is also close by, it takes around 15/20 minutes by car and a taxi is around 10 euros. Casa Luna offers a home from home environment, superbly equipped including beach towels, CDs, DVDs, books and even inflatables for the pool to make your holiday hassle free and easy. There is outdoor furniture and a barbecue at the back of the house next to the pool where you can enjoy alfresco meals and drinks, however you can also enjoy the late afternoon and evening sun at the front of the house as there is furniture there too. An ideal holiday venue for couples and families of all ages, as it offers a quiet, superbly located base to explore from within easy reach of beaches and nightlife.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Prices start at £300.00 per week - fully inclusive of cleaning, air-conditioning and use of private pool, bathroom towels, pool towels and all bedlinen.
Long stay rentals are available at reduced rates, please contact us to discuss availability and prices.
Weekend breaks and odd durations may also be able at certain times of the year, so again please contact us to discuss your requirements.
£50.00 discount for two week rentals.
Changeover day
Saturday arrival after 4.00pm, departure by 10.00am.
(Other days may be available by prior arrangement).
| Bedrooms: | Bedrooms are spacious and are both similar in size. Both have twin beds, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and hairdryer. One has patio doors leading to a balcony and the other has Patio door with railings but no balcony, both overlook the pool. |
| Bathrooms: | Main bathroom is large and spacious, it is located upstairs, opposite the bedrooms it has bath/shower over, sink with vanity unit, shower cubicle, toilet and bidet. There is also a shower room downstairs, with sink/vanity unit and toilet. |
| Kitchen: | Oven, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric juicer. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you may require for preparing meals if you choose to do so, during your stay. |
| Utility Room: | There is a storage area under the stairs which houses the iron and ironing board, pool inflatables and dust pan and brush. This area can also be used to store suitcases and bags etc. |
| Living Rooms: | Spacious, light and open plan the lounge/dining area has two sets of patio doors leading out to the pool/terrace area. The lounge is relaxing with comfortable seating, satelite TV and DVD player. The dining area offers dining table and seating for 6. |
| Other: | There is a cool bag for you to take your lunch to the beach and plenty of plastic containers for your snacks etc. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
The house will be cleaned midweek during your stay in addition to Saturday change over day. This includes fresh bathroom towels, some linen. The pool will also be cleaned twice a week in high season and weekly at other times. |

Notes on accommodation
The house has air conditioning which can also be used to heat if required. The floor is all tiled and the staircase is marble to help keep the house cool. The outside area is private and secure, however children should be encouraged not to climb on the railings or fencing surrounding the pool area.
There are security shutters provided for added security and comfort, an alarm system and safe for guests use.

Accessibility
The cul-de-sac where the house is situated is on a slight incline, you walk down into the town or up and then down towards the beach, it is not a hill just a slight incline. There are stairs to the bedrooms, the house would therefore not be suitable for wheelchiar users. There is a handrail/bannister on one side of the stairs only, so would not offer sufficient support for those with extreme mobility problems.
Outside
The pool is private and is approximately 5 metres x 3.5 metres and has a maximum depth of around 1.5 metres, it is ideal for cooling off on a hot day and for children to splash around in, there are steps down into it to make it more accessible. It is cleaned regularly and all chemicals etc are managed by our pool cleaner (The pool is not heated).
Coast/Beach
PRAIA GRANDE - This is a big beach as its name suggests, this is the nearest to the house and is around 8 minutes walk.
Follow the coast road along and you will find PINTADINHO BEACH this is a popular beach which offers some afternoon shade, CANEIROS beach is further west on the road which leads to Carvoeiro, this is another superb beach flanked by cliffs. It would probably be advisable to go to both Caneiros and Pintadinho by car, 10 + 15 minutes drive respectively.
Golf
La Pinta and Gramacho are within 2 miles of the house, these are top quality championship golf courses, both have a David Leadbetter golf academy on site. The area however has a host of other golfing options within a 30 minute drive.

Travel
Travel time from the airport to the house is around 45 minutes. Car hire is useful as there is so much to see and do and a fantastic coastline to explore, however it is not essential as you can walk into the town and beach and taxi's are available and reasonable.
Full directions are provided and we are also happy to arrange transfers and/or car hire for our guests if required.
Further details
Life in Ferragudo revolves around the quayside square, the atmosphere is delightful and typical Portuguese. On the square there are a several bars and restaurants, a few shops including a fruit and vegatable shop, mini-market and also a post office and bank. On the way down the hill into town there is a bakery, a couple of bars/coffee shops and eateries. As you walk along the quayside you will see a range of fish restaurants, the fish is landed and barbecued on the quayside and served in these restaurants so it is as fresh as you can get it!
There is a superb water park at Lagoa - 'Slide and Splash' it is a must for children and also those of you who enjoy the thrills of the water slides and rides!
Booking notes
Deposit payable is £200.00 at the time of booking, balance payment is due 10 weeks prior to departure. There is a £250 damage deposit, this is fully refundable if there are no breakages or damage to the property. Cancellations are charged in full.
