An ideal resort for both golfers and non-golfers. A short drive away is the medieval walled town of Obidos, well worth a visit. Also the fishing town of Peniche and Baleal a popular surfers beach. There are a large number of restaurants in the area offering excellent and varied food as well as value for money. A great place to get away from it all and to enjoy long walks along stunning sandy beaches - the view is breathtaking. The property can comfortably sleep up to 8 people. The large lounge/diner has French doors opening onto well maintained gardens and adjacent to a shared pool.

Accessibility
Access to the property is via a sloping driveway and the property is entered through the front door into a hallway. The hallway opens into the lounge, kitchen, 4th bedroom and separate bathroom. A stairway leads from the lounge to the other 3 bedrooms. The terrace and gardens are on the same level as the lounge/dining room.
Outside
Access from lounge to private terrace with patio table and chairs and sun loungers. The terrace opens on to shared well maintained gardens and is adjacent to the communal pool.
Coast/Beach
The property is a 5 min walk from one of the many beautiful long sandy beaches in the area. Obidos lagoon is a 10 min drive away. Baleal, a popular beach for both surfers and families is 10 mins away by car.
Golf
The property is located on the award winning Praia del Rey Golf course. It is an 18 hole course with a mix of parkland and links terrain. A number of the holes run alongside the Atlantic ocean - enjoy some breathtaking views along the coast (even when the golf isn't going well).
Travel
The nearest airport is Lisbon. Praia D'El Rey is about one hour's drive north of Lisbon along the A8 motorway. Both Porto and Faro airport are about a 3 hour drive away
Distances
Obidos is about 15 mins away by car. It is a medieval walled town, with a castle, numerous craft shops and many excellent restaurants. Peniche, a harbour town with plenty of seafood restaurants is also about 15 mins also by car. Caldas Da Rainha, about 20 mins drive away, has good shopping as well as a daily open air market.
Further details
A small shop is open daily on the resort providing essential items. Serra D'El Rey, the nearest village has a small supermarket, a number of cafes, post office, pharmacy and petrol station. There is a larger supermarket on the N8 road to Obidos and others in Peniche. Praia del Rey has a tennis club with 7 all-weather, floodlit courts. There is also an adventure club offering outdoor activities for older children, such as paint balling, quad biking and surfing etc. Surfing, fishing and diving are some of the many activities that can be booked locally. The Marriott hotel located on the resort has a Spa, gym and indoor and outdoor pools.
Booking notes
To book, please check availability by email. A deposit of €150 is required at time of booking. Full payment is required 8 weeks prior to departure date. A damage deposit of €150 will be added to the final payment - this will be refunded after your departure from the property (subject to a satisfactory property inspection).
