Clube Golfemar is an exclusive development adjacent to the Vale de Milho golf course with local bars, restaurants, tennis courts, supermarkets and beaches only minutes away. This non-smoking villa is situated on an elevated position enjoying splendid sea and countryside views from it's roof terrace and spacious balconies and is only metres from the large free-form communal pools, sun decks and land-scaped gardens. Car hire is recommended and Quinta Pequina offers ample parking spaces for your use. A complimentary food pack is provided with every booking. The villa has satellite TV, telephone, safe and hair dryers for guests to use. Baby-sitting can be arranged.

Notes on prices
Please note prices are per week in UK Pounds - prices are for 6 people. The 7th person has to be under 12 years to use the put-up-bed and will be charged at £75 per week.

Changeover day
During the months of July/August changeover day is either Wed/Thurs. Other months changeover days are flexible. Arrival is after 2pm and departure before 10am. However we will try to be as flexible as possible to help guests and their flight times.

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen and bath towels are included in rental costs. These are changed once a week when the villa is cleaned or by specific arrangement with owner. Guests are kindly asked to provide their own beach/pool towels. Baby sitting can be arranged via the maid. |
Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning and heating is available through the same units. These are situated in each room and are very easy to use. There is also a log burner in the lounge area for those cooler nights during winter and spring. Quinta Pequina offers spacious and adaptable living accomodation and private gardens which make it suitable for young children. The third bedroom is situated with its own shower room on the entrance floor making this property ideal for any guests with mobility difficulties. Alternatively access to the villa is gained through the patio doors on the lower ground floor which is reached by a gentle slope from the car parking area and pools.

Accessibility
Ample parking space outside the front door and closeness to the pools and gardens ensure those with limited walking ability are able to enjoy the facilities of Clube Golfemar. There is wheelchair access to the pools via a gentle inclining walkway from the parking areas.
Outside
Both bedroom 1 and 2 have their own terraced patio areas which lead straight onto the garden. The roof terrace offers privacy and an excellent spot to barbecue and sunbathe or simply watch the sun go down over the Atlantic. Quinta Pequina has its own private gardens with sun loungers, in addition to the landscaped gardens surrounding the very large freeform communal swimming pools (one shallow pool for younger children) changing rooms, toilets and sun decks. The gardens and pool areas are all lit at night as are all the public walkways in Clube Golfemar. Please note there is no swimming permitted after 8pm. The dining terrace on the first floor has a dining table and chairs leading straight out from lounge and inside dining area. There is also a fully retractable mechanical sun-awning installed for guests use as protection from the strong sun. This terrace has far-reaching sea views and gets sun all day long - and is a perfect get-away from the great British summer!
Coast/Beach
The Algarve is reknown for it's spectacular beaches - most of them are beautifully golden with back-drops of stunning stone formations and can be wonderfully secluded. Quinta Pequina is approx 10 mins (walking) to the nearest beach of Centianes (with its own informal beach restaurant) and Albandeira, Marinha and Benagil are within 10 minutes drive. Larger beaches at Gale, Praia de Luz and Praia Grande at Feragudo offer water sports facilities.
Golf
The Algarve is particularly well served with superb golf courses and Clube Golfemar is the perfect venue for the Algarve golfer. Guests at Quinta Pequina will be spoilt for choice with easily reached championship courses to suit all abilities nearby. These include Penina, Vale do Lobo, Alto, Palmares, Pinta and Gramacho. For those who don't want to play 18 holes, the pretty Val de Milho 9 hole golf club is adjacent to Club Golfemar and offers a challenging round to any golfer yet is ideal for those who are just starting out - young and old! The friendly club house welcomes visitors and serves good food every day of the week throughout the year. Guests at Quinta Pequina are entitled to discounts at Vale de Milho. The villa offers a large and secure storage space for clubs and trolleys.
Travel
Faro International Airport is 40 minutes drive away. Lisbon Airport is approx 3 hours drive away. Car hire is recommended although not essential as taxis are cheap and in abundance. Please call for contact numbers and e-mail addresses of car hire hire companies we can recommend or for details on taxi transfers from Faro airport. We are also very happy to provide details of air lines that fly direct to Faro if necessary.
Distances
2.5 kms to Carvoeiro with its many bars and restaurants and local music evenings in the town square. 20 minutes drive to the historical town of Silves with its castle and ancient town walls. Cape St Vincent and the fort at Sagres is the most westerly point of Continental Europe and is well worth a visit. To the East, the Guadiana River forming the border with Spain is another easily achieved day trip. As is the beautiful town of Travia with its stunning sand-banks and warm waters.
Further details
The nearest big supermarket to Quinta Pequina is Intermarche - about 10 minutes drive from the villa. This offers a large selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, meats and fish and just about everything else you will need to make your holiday easier. However, there is a small supermarket (and off-licence) just 2 minutes walk away (at the entrance to Rocha Brava) for all emergency essentials and fresh bread and pastries. Cash point machines are available in Carvoeiro and banking services are available in Lagoa - about 15 minutes drive.
ZooMarine Leisure park is a must for a holiday with children. ABout 30 mins drive away. Plenty to see and do at this 'water zoo'! Don't forget to book a swim with the dolphins. The Big One and Slide and Splash Water parks are both within 20 mins of the villa - try and get in early as these get very busy in the height of summer! On Praia Grande beach (about 15 mins drive) water sports are readily available for all.
Booking notes
A £200 booking deposit is required at time of booking. An additional returnable £200 breakage deposit is also required with the final rental payment 6 weeks before your stay. On receipt of this keys will be sent along with directions, House Manager details and all emergency contact numbers. The villa information folder contains a comprehensive guide to the area, restaurants, places of interest and additional emergency numbers. The breakage deposit will be returned after inspection of the villa.

About the owner
My name is Kate and I am an Events Organiser living in the West Country with my husband, three children and one mad dog! We are a busy and active family - particularly with sports and outdoor activities and pursuits. We travel at least twice a year to Portugal - either with friends or on our own - to escape the unpredictable British weather and play golf, tennis and relax. The Algarve never lets us down. Quinta Pequina is home from home to us and that's the way we like our guests to feel - relaxed, comfortable and completely at home from the moment they step into the villa.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We initially owned a rental property in Vila Golfe Mar but decided to purchase on Club Golfe Mar when building began in order to upgrade to a three bedroom villa with better facilities. We loved the area so much we literally moved across the Vale de Milho Golf Course!Being situated just outside Carvoeiro is perfect. The peaceful location offers a great choice of beaches, restaurants and sporting activities but it is close enough to the town to explore more. The convenience of the small local store 5 mins walk from the villa is a godsend and is well patronized!
Unique benefits of the property
Quinta Pequina's fantastic location close to the pool area is perfect for families. Over the years we have found it particularly helpful to have the villa close by - especially with young children and babies. The large roof terrace has also proved to be a great asset - if only to relax and watch the sun go down! Having a secluded back garden is perfect for sunbathing or playing with small children and the parking spaces outside the front garden make it much easier to unload shopping and suitcases. Our children love Quinta Pequina just as much now as they did when they were young - they just bring more friends with them! We will never tire of the Algarve and as we have many returning guests, year upon year, others appear to agree with us!
