Nearby the bustling town of Lagos retains much of the original character as a fishing port but has plenty of bars, restaurants and nightlife for those who wish it. There are at least 5 beaches in Lagos itself easily reachable on foot from the city centre. A range of watersports, including diving, surfing and windsurfing are available. There are 5 golf courses within a 10 mile radius, including the Championship Penina course and the challenging Parque da Floresta.

Faro Airport is nearest. approx 80 kms (50 miles). Motorway access - maximum 1 hour drive.
Car hire recommended though local bus service is good and calls in to the village itself. Also excellent taxi facilities.
