Quinta do Montinho is a small group of beautifully designed townhouses in an elevated position overlooking small village of Budens, beautiful countryside and coastline; located close to the Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure Resort. The house has its own balcony and garden. The community has its own communal swimming pool, children's pool, changing rooms, bar, and sunbathing area in landscaped gardens. Guests at Quinta do Montinho can enjoy the facilities of the Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure Resort; these include a challenging 18-hole golf course (30% discount on green fees), spa, health and fitness centre, floodlit tennis courts, bowling, and a multitude of children's activities. (The costs for these are payable at Parque da Floresta during your stay). There are many sandy beaches nearby including surfing beaches on the west coast (40 minutes drive). The nearest town is Lagos which has a range of shops, bars and restaurants located in pedestrian-only areas.

Quinta do Montinho has a communal swimming pool a few minutes walk from the house; includes children's pool, bar, changing room and sunbathing area. Car parking is available near to the house.
Coast/Beach
The local beach is located a 5 minute drive away at Salema where there are also small restaurants offering, for example, fresh seafood. Surfing beach available on the west coast at Amado (surfing lessons available). Long sandy beach near to Lagos with beachside cafes. Beautiful Algarve coastline has many unspoilt beaches and coves.
Golf
Rentals include a 30% discount on the green fee at Parque Da Floresta, where there is a pro shop, driving range and golf academy. The clubhouse has a bar and restaurant overlooking the 18th green. There are numerous golf courses along the Algarve, many within a short driving distance from Quinta do Montinho (for example, Boavista (10 minutes), and Palmares (20 minutes)).
Travel
Flights to Faro airport are available from most UK and European airports with scheduled and charter airlines. The house is approximately 85km (52 miles) from the airport, along a new motorway. Car hire is available at Faro airport and is recommended in order to investigate the local beaches, towns and golf courses.
Distances
To the west (10km) is Sagres and Capo Sao Vicente, the south-west point of mainland Europe. To the east is the Moorish town of Lagos (10km) with its marina, many shops, bars and restaurants. Further to the east are Silves, Portimao, Monchique, and Vilamoura.
Further details
Within walking distance of the house in the village of Budens is a small supermarket; a large supermarket is available on the outskirts of Lagos. There are also other local attractions within easy driving distance, including water parks, Zoo Marine, and shopping centres.
