Prices are set per week/per night in UK Pounds. Discount for longer letting. Golf weekend breaks available from £700. Villa rental is flexible and can accommodate smaller parties at reduced rates, please contact us for prices. Site is not yet complete and this is reflected in the prices published.
Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible depending on time of year. During peak period we try to let Saturday to Saturday and ask that you arrive no earlier that 4pm and that you vacate by 10.30am to allow preparations for next guest.

Notes on accommodation
All bedrooms have balconies with sea views. We have a Flat Screen TV, Satellite decoder, DVD player with amazing surround sound. Under floor heating and air conditioning to all rooms and bathrooms. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes which provide ample storage. Satellite TV in lounge and in master bedroom. The villa is spaciously set across three floors and has stairs with stainless steel open railings. This should be considered when travelling with very small children who like to climb.

Outside
The villa is south facing and benefits from stunning sunshine all day long. Fantastic kidney shaped pool that can be heated at an extra charge, if required (this is not necessary during the summer months). There is a sun terrace at the poolside together with covered patio area for dining and a lawned area. There are two more tiers of lawned areas at different levels for your use. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and well maintained and there is also a large shaded area with outdoor table and chairs. There are sun beds at the poolside and a shower, built in barbecue and sink and table tennis for the kids and big kids too! The views are stunning from this level too. The site is under development and this has been reflected in our prices. The villa to our left was completed in 2006 and the two to our right will be completed 2008.
Coast/Beach
Quinta da Fortaleza has its own beach Cabanas Velhas with beach bar/restaurant. Very close to Salema with its sandy beach, fishing boats upon the sand and some great restaurants. Burgau also offers an unspolit beach and has great restaurants. Lagos offers many beaches and coves which are well worth exploring. Praia da Luz is also nearby. Wind surfers amoungst you need to head for the west coast Alijezur which is approx 20 mins drive away, for some of the most dramatic waves in the Algarve.
Golf
Parque da Floresta 5km (discounted green fees within package, please ask for details). Driving range and golf lessons available here. Free Bus service running from Quinta da Fortaleza and Parque de Floresta during high season between 9 am and midnight. Timetable available on request.
Boavista golf course, Palmares and The Penina are all within a 25-30 minutes drive away.
Skiing
We have a 5 bedroom luxury apartment and 2 x 3 bedroom luxury apartments near Chamonix in France. Available for summer or winter letting.
Special interest holidays
Parque de Floresta facilities are available to all guests at Quinta da Fortaleza. During school holidays there is a kids club for all ages, flood lit tennis courts, Health Spa and Gymnasium, large communal pool, themed evening at the Golf Clubhouse, restaurants and bowling green.
There is a bus running from parque to parque during peak periods from 9am to 12 midnight.
Travel
Car hire is essential to get the best out of this holiday. Faro, under an hour (motorway, very good road). Lisbon, 2.5 hours away (motorway, very good road). Spanish Border, 1.5 hour. (Motorway). Seville, 3 hours. (Motorway). Lagos, under 15 minutes. Cape St Vincent. 20 minutes (Europe's most western point).
Distances
Nearest shops and bakery at Burgau. Large Supermarket and petrol station is Intermache at Budens, 2 min drive away. They have a wide range of products including British products. They have a fresh meat, fresh fish and cheese counter. They also have a bakery and small coffee shop.
You can order takeaway pizza and pasta from Parque da Floresta. Free bus service running during high season to the parque from 9am to midnight, time table available.
Further details
Sagres and Cape St Vincent (most western point of Europe) are places of interest, approx 20 minute drive west.
Lagos is a 10 minute drive east with its marina and quaint town. Lagos steeped in moorish history with cobbled streets, many shops, market stalls and street entertainers, sleepy by day and buzzing by night. At Lagos Marina you can charter a boat for the day or even take a trip to see the dolphins. There is also a very good sailing school here with courses to suit everyone. There are many good restaurants here.
There are also exceptionally good restaurants in the villages dotted either side of the EN125. They do not have the views but the meals are typically Portuguese with local prices.
There are many water parks the closest being Slide and Slash in Lagoa, suitable for all ages. Zoomarine is situated close to Albufeira where you can swim with dolphins.
The motorway has been built to connect the Algarve towns and villages. It is a maximum drive of 2 hours from Lagos to Spanish border and it is well worth visiting other parts of the algarve during your stay.
Golf is very accessible in the Algarve. Qunita da Fortaleza very close to Parque da Floresta 18 hole course and with us you have discounted green fees. Many other golf courses nearby Penina, Palmares, Boavista, Morgado, Silves. At the park there is a well organised kids clubs during school holidays. There is also a football academy, golf range and bowling green.
You can visit the Spa at Floresta for facials, massage and other treatments. There is also a gym and excersise classes.
The are very good walking and cycling around the coastal pathways.
Booking notes
A 40% deposit is required at time of booking and balance payable 6 week prior to departure. Booking are made direct with owner via telephone or email. £400 Cheque required as security to cover any damage/breakages which will be returned once villa has been checked.
Please ensure you are adequately insured as we cannot be held responsible for any accident to you or your party during your stay.
Site is being developed and this is reflected in price. 2 villas to our right will be complete 2008.
