This is a luxury 2 bedroom apartment completed in November 2006, on the edge of Costa Vicentina National Park in the unspoilt Western Algarve, known for its beautiful beaches and excellent golf courses. The village of Burgau remains a quiet and peaceful fishing village with a good choice of restaurants and bars, a small supermarket and bakery all just a short walk from the apartment. It has a beautiful south facing beach with clean white sands, and a very good beach bar providing good food for all the family (we recommend the chicken piri piri and the lamb cutlets!).

| Living Rooms: | Large living/dining room with access to balcony through Patio doors. 2 seat and 3 seat sofas, coffee table, satellite TV with English channels, DVD player, CD player, dining table seating 6, air-conditioning and heating. |

Towels and bed linen provided and changed weekly, maid service twice a week, and a full clean midway through a 2 week break. |

Accessibility
There are 2 steps leading up to the walk way to the apartment. Access to the beach from the village is via a rather steep hill.
Outside
Spacious south facing balcony has table and chairs suitable for dining alfresco. Sun all evening. Large roof top terrace. Secure parking.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is just 5 mins walk from the beach of Burgau. Approx 3km west of Burgau is Salema, another pretty fishing village with clean sandy beaches, beach bars and restaurants. As you head further west is the town of Sagres with the old fort built on Europes most southerly point.
Golf
There is an abundance of quality golf courses on the Western Algarve. P de Floresta, Boa Vista, Palmares and Penina are all within 20 mins driving distance. There are also another 20/30 top quality courses within an hours driving. Green fees for courses in the Western Algarve tend typically to be more reasonable that those closer to Faro.
Travel
Faro airport is 1 hour drive (90km) on the modern A22 which takes you to the outskirts of Lagos. Then approx 10km to Burgau. There are taxis and buses from the airport but we recommend car hire to enable you to explore the surrounding area.
Distances
The town of Lagos is approx 15 mins drive from Burgau, with its attractive marina, numerous shops and restaurants, and famous fish market which is well worth a visit. The mountain village of Monchique is about 1 hours drive. The busy town of Albufeira is 30 mins drive, Portimao even closer.
Further details
There are plenty of activities locally to keep all ages amused - including water parks, slide and splash near Lagoa, Aqualand at Alcantarilha, Zoomarine and theme park at Guia near Albufeira(best in Western Europe). From the marina in Lagos there are boat and fishing trips and dolphin watching. Scuba diving can be found in Lagos and Sagres, windsurfing in Martinhal, tennis courts in Burgau and riding stables in Almadena. There is a general sports centre in Burgau. The Burgau Club restaurant is open year round to all visitors.
