The apartment is in a small well managed block situated on the 4th floor with a lift. There is a good pool with a children's section and bar/snack area. Access to a great large roof terrace, ideal place to watch the sun go down. A reception where you can ask for any assistance relating to local attractions like the dolphin park or just for info of the local area. Easy walking to a great clean beach with restaurants spread along its length. Alvor village is approx 10 - 15 mins easy walk away. It is an interesting, lively and friendly fishing village that just calls to be explored. There is plenty off road car parking around the building if you decide to hire a car. A great apartment for all types of holidays to suit all the family.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the apartment per week, not per person, in UK Pounds. We accept Paypal payment over the internet, cheques or cash in resort. Please note that Jan/Feb/Nov and Dec the elec is extra.
Changeover day
Change over days are flexible. Leaving before 10am and arriving after 2pm. We are willing to accommodate long term lets also please contact Loraine to discuss.

| Living Rooms: | Spacious lounge/dining area. Fitted out with two double sofa beds, dining table seating 4, TV/cable/DVD/CD player and coffee table. Patio doors to balcony. Now fitted with air conditioning which doubles up as heating in the winter. |
| Other: | There are table and chairs on the balcony where you get the sun, up to about 2pm. Great place to have breakfast. |

Apartment is well equipped with all bedding, towels etc which is changed once a week when the apartment is cleaned. We do ask you to bring beach/pool towels with you. |

Notes on accommodation
All electricity is included except for the winter months, Dec to end of Feb. The apartment block is ideal for children, having pool and the beach close by. The large spacious rooms offer an excellent place to relax. The air conditioning also doubles up with heating in the winter and there are additional heaters as well. We also have electric blankets.
Accessibility
Our apartment is on the fouth floor but there is lift access. There are stairs around the pool area.
Outside
The pool area is well maintained, quiet and well secluded. There is a bar/snack area which has a pool table and large TV area, this is closed in the winter. There are pool side showers and toilets. Plenty of sunbeds, a childrens area and paddling pool.
Coast/Beach
The beaches are everywhere but Alvor beach is within 10- 15 mins easy walk. Once there plenty of restaurants and bars can be found spread the full length of this long and clean beach. For those who like a walk:- The beach runs into a superb estuary great for bird watching and canoeing. Canoes can be hired locally by the fishing port. A must is to go down to the port early morning and watch the fishermen at work whilst taking a coffee at one of the many bars along the harbour wall.
Golf
There are many golf courses within 10mins drive. The list is never ending and it would be worth while to do a search on the area to find the selection. As well as golf there is a great bowls community around the area.
Skiing

Travel
Fly to Faro which is approx 40 mins drive from Alvor. We have an agent in Alvor who offer great value transfers. A hire car is a good way to see the local area and Portugal roads are easy to drive on. Lisbon is approx 3 hrs drive away for those with a bit more time on their hands. Contact us for a excellent hire car company. There is also a new superb local bus service which is excellent value for money.
Distances
Alvor village is an easy and pleasant walk away taking about 10- 15 mins from the apartment. You can access buses, taxis etc from the village and they are offer good value to see local towns e.g. Lagos, approx 20 mins drive, and Praia da Rocha about 15 mins. You can book trips from the reception in the apartment block or better still contact our agent in Alvor.
Further details
This area is great for all types of holidays whether it is relaxing in the sun, swimming etc or getting active by playing golf, biking, canoing, walking or horse riding. The area can accommodate all the family making for a holiday to remember. I have no doubt you will return!

Paul and I just wanted to say thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful apartment. I cannot believe we left only a week ago - it seems like a
long time ago now. We had such a lovely time and hope to go back in the near future. The apartment was in such a good spot and close to the beach and restaurants but still really quiet and peaceful. Also very clean and spacious!
We spent most of the time at the beach down the road, couldn't ask for
anything better! We'll be in touch should we plan any more holidays to Alvor.

About the owner
Hello there, We are a semi retired couple whom enjoy walking etc and so Alvor/Samoens are perfect places for us. Also with 2 grandchildren the beach in Portugl and the Slopes in Samoens are fabulous areas to be with them. We have had the apartment in Alvor for 6 years now, and the studio in Samoens for 9 yrs, and we can say, with hands on heart, that all who have been to Alvor, and Samoens, have had a great time with no probs. We are involved in Sea Cadets big time , especially as Keith is a Master Mariner, so, when we have spare time, we like to disappear with our camper van and, of course, the dog. I would say we are very much the new generation of OAPs meaning we enjoy life to the full.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
One of our daughters was a rep in Alvor and on visiting her, and thinking she was staying, we thought it would be a good idea to have our own abode. We bought she came home! The property is in a great location with the benefit of being near to the beach, shops and lots of walking in a beautiful area. We like the 4th floor situation and at the side of the block away from pool noise and with great views.
Unique benefits of the property
The apartment is very large and and,with being on the side of the block, the sun is on the balcony for breakfast up to 12ish so keeps cool during the day. Bus stop just a few yards away and only 10 mins walk to beach and town. Lots of safe private car parking round the rear of the building and a lift up to all floors. Nice to go on the roof terrace at the end of the day and watch the sun go down before heading down to excellent restaurants for the evening.
