Within a short drive are 8 superb golf courses; the historic town of Sintra (classified as a World Heritage Site); the beautiful Guincho coast line with its sandy beaches and rocky coves, and Estoril, with more beaches and the biggest Casino in Europe!

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is entirely suitable for families with small children, having no open staircases or open balconies.
The apartment is fully equipped for entertaining children, plastic cups, bowls and cutlery, children placemats etc.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach in the Bay of Cascais is 1/2 mile from the apartment; other beaches on the Cascais/Estoril coast are within easy walking distance. A few miles drive away is the spectacular Guincho coastline, with sandy beaches rocky coves and surfing.
Golf
There are several courses about 10-15 minutes' drive: Quinta da Beloura, Quinta da Marinha, Estoril, Penha Longa (site of the European Championship), Oitavos and Estoril Sol. About 14 others are within an hour's drive. Green fees are usually less expensive and courses less crowded than in the Algarve. Visitors with a club handicap are welcome everywhere. There are two nine-hole courses recommended for beginners at Estoril Sol and Penha Longa. A worthwhile course for a day out is Praia del Rei.
Travel
Nearest airport is Lisbon International Airport - some 38k from Cascais. If you are staying in Cascais a car is not required, however, if you wish to explore the area including historical Sintra and the beautiful Cabo da Roca you might find one useful. The train station, some 5 mins walk away, takes you into Lisbon (32 mins) via Estoril, in clean, modern air conditioned trains - which are inexpensive & always on time!

Cascais is a very popular holiday destination with many shops, spas, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and prices! The town has everything you would need. The nearest shop is some 50m from the house. Activities such as golf, tennis, cycling, sailing, walking, swimming, snorkelling, scuba and much more are only minutes away.
Booking notes
All bookings remain provisional until they have been confirmed. To avoid a provisional booking being from being released, a confirmation and guarantee is necessary with a deposit of 50% of total booking amount. Remaining balance is to be paid 6 weeks before departure date. If the balance is not paid by 4 weeks before departure date, the booking will be automatically cancelled and refund made based on the cancellation policy below.
