Villa Adriano is a tastefully restored shepherd's cottage in a romantic position overlooking the river Paiva, reputed to be the cleanest in Europe and described as like swimming in silk. It lies in a steep valley but gets the sun all day in its garden and fields with olives vines and fruit trees. You can walk in the wooded mountain sides or the high moorlands. It is ideal for relaxation away from civilisation, country pursuits and exploring the mountainous north of Portugal with its historic towns and ancient culture.

Accessibility
No special facilities, but wheelchair access should not be a problem as bedroom 1, kitchen and living room are all on a level.

Large fenced garden and fields backing onto forest. Swing seat and barbecue with wood provided. Swimming pool is unecessary as the river is about 100m away and has sandy 'beaches' and deep pools of clear water.

110km from Porto airport approx 2 hours by motorway.
