Flexible. Preferably Thursday or Saturday. Please note in high season (July and August) change over day (preferably) Saturday. For bookings of two or three weeks Thursdays or Fridays.

Accessibility
Very suitable for wheelchair users. No stairs on ground floor, large rooms for maneuvering around and very large master bedroom suite on the ground level with access to the patios around the house and the garden.
Outside
Lovely large walled/fenced in garden with several pine trees and large covered areas with views to beyond pine forest. Outdoor furniture includes 2 tables and chairs, parasols and 8 sun loungers around the pool. The pool is 12m x 6m, 0,90cm in the shallow end and around 2.20m deep with built in lights.
Coast/Beach
The long sandy beaches of the Atlantic are only 5 minutes driving away from the property providing several restaurants all year round and rental of sun loungers and umbrellas in the summer.
Golf
The villa is very well located 5 minutes drive from the courses at Vale do Lobo, Quinta do lago and Pinheiros Altos. Vila Sol and Villamoura are only 20 minutes drive away.
Travel
Faro airport is only 20 minutes by car away of the villa. Car hire strongly recommended to explore the advantage of the location and the surrounding areas to the fullest.

Bookings can be made by e-mail. A non refundable deposit of 25% is due on booking. Balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival and a euros 400 breakage deposit which will be returned within 28 days of your return to your home country, less any breakage charges.

Hi my name is Anneke. I am a legal professional in a commercial consultancy firm. I love property and was working in property development while living in Portugal. I have enjoyed living in Vilas Alvas very much for 12 years. It is a peaceful and secluded area right in the middle of all activities (sports, beaches, shops).

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Vilas Alvas is a quiet and secluded, green area between the Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago hot spots. The Atlantic and gorgeous beaches are just a few minutes away and are very inviting for walking, swimming and sunbathing. On those lovely beaches around the corner the restaurants offer a lot of options for lunch, a drink or dinner with a fantastic view. There are numerous championship golf courses around and there are several tenniscourts in the area. The villamoura marina provides moring and is an excellent base for yaughting or sailing. There are a lot of nice bars and restaurants. A visit to Faro offers good shopping, theaters, cinemas and a concert hall. Faro airport can be reached in 20 minutes drive
Unique benefits of the property
I have designed the house with an architect and had it built in 2005. I especially loved designing the large country style kitchen and also loved choosing colours and fabrics. The property was built as a family home. We lived in it for two years before moving back to the Netherlands for the children's schooling. The children and I still visit the property regularly mostly in the spring and autumn. We enjoy the very tranquil atmosphere of the house and its garden. The huge pool offers a lot of pleasure- swimming and relaxing while reading or sleeping. The rooms are very spacious and have lovely furniture and light colours. The kitchen with its large dining table is my favourite place in the house (preparing dinner, having drinks and a chat with friends).
